Oh! Dear was our first thought when entering the room. Glad it was only for one night. Room 20 was obviously right over the kitchen as the staff were under our window having a fag. Then emptying the bottles into the bins later on. To say it needed maintenance would be kind.Cheap and nice breakfast though.Needs an upgrade.View of the...

Was in a double room. For the price, it is 5 stars value. The lovely bed and bathroom is comfortable/lovely, staff were friendly, a brilliant cleaning service, lovely brekkie, nice bar, so peaceful and there's a gym as well. I would like to say thank you to the owners and those who runs the place. I have already re-booked for...

The heating was on full blast and all the radiators in the hotel were stuck on full blast. The reception desk was abandoned at night, the doors were locked and the night time telephone number was out of service. Not only was I being boiled alive, I couldn't get out of the building and couldn't find anyone to let out....

So disappointed, stayed once before six years ago. It is now very tired looking. Desperately needs updating. Single room size okay, shower room cramped. Bed so uncomfortable that at 3.00 a.m. I had to use duvet as mattress topper. Fought the pillow blocks for hours until I remember there was a bed cushion I could use. Put coat and towel...

My partner and I organised a surprise 60th birthday party for her sister, with around 40 friends and family attending. The party staff at the Sitwell Arms were very helpful and attentive when planning and setting up the event. The food menu was flexible, and pricing meant you could chose from various base options and add specific items to supplement...

was at sitwell arms last weekend for a wedding reception and even though the staff were friendly other things weren't as good. 3 guests on my table including me were gluten intolerant and while the rest of the guests were being brought out plate after plate of various foods for the first 20 minutes all we had was a plate...

Dined with friends for Sunday Lunch. Disappointing experience. The smoked haddock rosti with egg was served cold. The veggies were just cooked and roasties were hard - too hard to cut! Afterwards we ordered tea and coffee. The tea turned out be a teabag in a cup of water. When we complained to the waitress, she gave the impression that...

The bar side food is lovely with a nice variety and the pub itself is very cosy. The restaurant side is a little more quaint with an old fashioned feel! Very clean. Lovely garden outside with a fish pond and a little bridge perfect for photos.
