We had a great time at paseo el Carmen which is practically at the door of the hostel. There is good restaurants and bars in the area. The room...

I stayed 3 weeks at the Mango Inn because I did some volunteering nearby and it really felt like a home away from home. I stayed in a single room which was small but very comfy. Also everything was very clean and the staff really is amazing and very helpful. Location is great, right next to the Paseo del Carmen,...

I had a great stay here for a handful of nights. The location is pretty much perfect for walking around Santa Tecla and enjoying the nightlife around Paseo el Carmen. Beds are clean and comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful, and Juancito himself took me for a private volcano trip one afternoon, sharing a lot of knowledge, which I...

We stayed here in January and we had a great experience. Juan was a great host and arranged for an airport transfer to the hotel and led us on a great city tour. We got to know the Paseo del Carmen area quite well and Juan pointed out all the highlights in town. The hostel was clean, simple, and reasonably...

We made a reservation here last minute, and were so glad we did. The owner was very helpful and spoke great English. I think the location is this hostel's greatest asset--just a few blocks from "Paseo del Carmen." The only downfall to this place is something quite silly: terrible pillows. Other than the rock-hard pillows, this place was great!

(If you do, ask for complimentary drinks at our other business, Lima/Limon Tropical Bistro in Paseo El Carmen. ;D It was a pleasure to have you,...
