Stayed here for one night whilst travelling through France. My family name is Appleton so picked this & was really pleased we did so. We were made to feel very welcome & the host Malcolm & Edward are great hosts. We were shown to the stable block which was a very nice room converted from the original stable, perfect for... More

Four of us recently stayed for two nights at Appleton's Farmhouse, and enjoyed a home-cooked meal there one night as well. Edward and Malcolm are wonderful, welcoming hosts who supplied all we could want. The grounds are absolutely lovely - such a beautiful space to relax, we didn't really want to go anywhere else. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and... More

We stayed here two nights and our hosts made us feel quite at home. They were very helpful and even looked after our dog for a day. We had a most enjoyable stay nice food with enjoyable conversations with our hosts. A great stop over. The location is quite rural but there is plenty of places to walk and visit.

We stopped here again last week going to and from our holiday in the south of France. We have stayed here several times over the years and never had a bad visit. Edward and Malcolm are very welcoming, the rooms are spotless, the food is superb and all the other guests that we have met (whether they be British Dutch... More

We had a great time here on our way home from the South. The farmhouse is immaculately kept; our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hosts, Edward and Malcolm, are especially welcoming and the evening meal was a wonderful experience enjoying the company and the good food and wine. The garden is fabulous with home grown vegetables and a... More

I suspect like many we stayed here whilst breaking up our journey to the south of France. As opposed to a franchise/chain hotel Malcolm and Edward make this a unique and memorable experience. We had a comfortable and clean room and bathroom and were made to feel most welcome. We had opted for the optional evening meal and had a... More

We stayed here on our way to the South of France and had a wonderful time. Too short unfortunately because we were made to feel most welcome. We had a great meal with lots of wine and a really nice evening sitting outside. The room was clean and comfortable, all just perfect.

We stopped here on our way to down south and had a really good stay. Unfortunately only one night. Could have spent more time in this cosy farmhouse and definitely will be back and recommend to anyone passing by! Hosts were very friendly and prepared really tasty dinner with nice drinks and the atmosphere, like some other reviews say, is... More

We had a wonderful stop over and could not have been made more welcome. We were exhausted and were made to feel like family. The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean, the food was great and the wine flowed! The garden is wonderful and I wished we'd stayed longer. The rest of the family were later, than expected and Malcom and Edward... More
