Single night stop for six guys on a driving tour. Friendly welcome at about 20:30, guiding us to park in their small off road parking area. Walked us round to the entrance and explained facilities and ameneties, all good. What we needed was beer and some food, directed to the 'local' only 50m away. On our return after a few jars we really found out how comprehensively well stocked the larders were! And of course again for breakfast. 6 hungry blokes, they must have thought a swarm of locusts had decended! On my way back from the pub I found a view of Eileen Donan Castle straight along the Loch shore. Bed was good, sleep was sound, beautifully quiet, view in the morning straight over the loch. Reccomended.

The Schoolhouse in Dornie is perfectly located for people who want to visit Eilean Donan Castle or take a trip to the Isle of Skye. The room had a nice view and was very clean. However, it was a bit small for two people with two huge suitcases. The bathroom was well-equipped and quite spacious. There is a big kitchen with a self-service breakfast (everything is provided), which comes quite handy, especially when you want to leave early in the morning. The owner was lovely and made us feel welcome. Would recommend to friends.

I just left the Schoolhouse Dornie Bed and Breakfast were I spent one night with my family and some friends. The structure is situated in the nice village of Dornie and very close to the famous Eilean Donan Castle. There are four en suite rooms, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is equipped for cooking your own breakfast at any time you prefer. We asked for gluten free food and they accommodated us. Pity we stayed only one night!

We had a lovely stay in the Green Room for just one night. Our whole purpose in visiting was so I could photograph the castle at night and this lovely establishment was within easy walking distance. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There was also a full size (shared) kitchen stocked with some basic supplies and fresh baked bread. There were only 2 rooms booked while we were there (including ours) so it was all very quiet and peaceful. The town of Dornie is lovely and we would definitely recommend staying here and visiting.

We were a group of 4 adults (2 couples) and so the Schoolhouse suited us very well. We were lucky that we had the place to ourselves and having self-catering in the morning made it a lot of fun. Cathy and Kevin were very friendly, easy-going and fun to talk with. The rooms were spacious with super comfortable beds and good showers. We loved that the kitchen was fully stocked which gave us the freedom to go at our own pace and enjoy the casualness of the place. The Schoolhouse was definitely a highlight for us. Simple, sweet and just perfect. We hope to be able to go back in the near future and spend a longer time than just one night. Thank you Cathy and Kevin!
