Kintail Lodge Hotel is your home away from home in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. We have recently completed a refurbishment programme to restore the hotel to its former glory with some new additions. The hotel has a waterfront position at the head of Loch Duich and our entrance and reception rooms have far reaching views down the Loch and over the surrounding hills. Weather permitting, you can enjoy an amazing sunset where the light combination is special to this area. Most of our bedrooms have views over the Loch and you can enjoy breakfast in our Main Room which overlooks the garden and the Loch. Our garden has a children’s play area and your dogs can let off some steam. Our evening meals are served in our Highland Pub which is popular with both locals and visitors and offers a varied menu with homemade, locally sourced produce. Vegetarian and Vegan options are also available. We can accommodate weddings of up to 50 people and meetings up to 30 people in the Main Room. Our Wee Bun House Grab and Go is open Monday to Friday mornings to early afternoon and we have ample parking and a E-charging point. We also have 3 free visitor moorings if you are coming by sea to climb the famous Five Sisters.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely relaxed laid back small hotel right on the banks of the loch Easy free parking and great staff Very comfy bed and pillows with a great spacious en suite bathroom with views of the loch from both the bedroom and bathroom windows No noise at night from the road and even with a storm outside the bedroom was quiet The bar is relaxed with both locals and guests , they also have a pool table which is popular , the only evening food available is the bar menu which is simple but great food even though the chef seems to like putting lots of Celeriac on the menu which I can’t stand but hey that’s just my choice It would also be nice to see steak on the menu as an option Breakfast was great with again friendly staff We stayed here 2 times once on way to the Hebrides and one night on the way back and loved both Will certainly return on our next trip It’s also dog friendly

Can’t say enough. From the warm friendly welcome (after we caught our breath as the view is stunning) to the two beautiful rooms we booked…..and don’t get me started on the restaurant…10/10. My daughter and I booked the super king room and WOW we instantly fell in love with the views and the adorable welcome box of goodies. So many nice little touches throughout. My sister and niece stayed in the superior triple an Ross from us and they were just as blown away. We will absolutely be back on our next visit to Scotland. It is an unimaginably beautiful lodge set in the most gorgeous part of Gods County!! I wept watching the sun go down behind the mountains….I felt so blessed to be there. Everything was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay! -The Priest and Sanford women!

(11/09/23) Kintail Lodge I believe it was the Monday of our trip around the NC 500. Every member of staff that we encountered was lovely the room was probably the most comfortable that we had all week and the Dinner was delicious. So every box ticked and then some. I would recommend to anyone.

Stopped here for dinner, it was really good. I had smoked haddock and it was lovely, good service from the 2 young girls in the bar. Recommend you won’t be disappointed, sitting outside in the sun in September was a bonus with the great views.

Five of us were on a trek through Kintail and phoned to make a reservation for dinner. We arrived and were seated near the bar which was ideal. We all had starters and mains as we were ravenous after a long couple of days. 4 had dirty haggis fries and the other had roast broccoli, blue cheese and toasted almonds. Three had beer battered haddock mains and the other two had the special shoulder of lamb. The food was plentiful, very tasty and well presented. Service was very good and prices very reasonable. We would definitely return when passing by again and highly recommend a visit. The beers and wine were very welcome as well.

We really had a very nice experience at Kintail Lodge. We had a two night stay while exploring Skye Island. Staff was very friendly. Room was quite large and comfortable. Unique building that used to be a hunting lodge. Basket of goodies in the room was free - wish I had known earlier - I would have enjoyed more! The first night we ate dinner there - top notch. I got the dirty fries with haggis and pepper gravy to start and cow shin for the main. Both were terrific. Breakfast was very good with good service and is a combination of buffet and made to order. Beautiful setting on the water. I will say my first impression when driving up wasn’t the best, just because it’s on the main road and the bar/restaurant entrance wasn’t the most charming. And I was unsure where to check in for the hotel. But the staff took care of us right away. So not a problem at all.

We stayed at the Kintail Lodge for one night, and wished we booked more time! The hotel has been updated nicely, with a spacious breakfast area and common seating area. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and our bathroom was very spacious. Staff was a highlight. Everyone was efficient, friendly, and helpful. Location was another highlight. Right on the loch, there was a lovely walking path and excellent bird-watching.
