Kintail Lodge Hotel is your home away from home in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. We have recently completed a refurbishment programme to restore the hotel to its former glory with some new additions. The hotel has a waterfront position at the head of Loch Duich and our entrance and reception rooms have far reaching views down the Loch and over the surrounding hills. Weather permitting, you can enjoy an amazing sunset where the light combination is special to this area. Most of our bedrooms have views over the Loch and you can enjoy breakfast in our Main Room which overlooks the garden and the Loch. Our garden has a children’s play area and your dogs can let off some steam. Our evening meals are served in our Highland Pub which is popular with both locals and visitors and offers a varied menu with homemade, locally sourced produce. Vegetarian and Vegan options are also available. We can accommodate weddings of up to 50 people and meetings up to 30 people in the Main Room. Our Wee Bun House Grab and Go is open Monday to Friday mornings to early afternoon and we have ample parking and a E-charging point. We also have 3 free visitor moorings if you are coming by sea to climb the famous Five Sisters.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had an outstanding three course meal in their restaurant - their chef should be complemented! Top quality food at a fair price with excellent service. The restaurant needs an decor upgrade but apart from that we would highly recommend a visit

If you want a taste of good old highland hospitality, kintail lodge is the place to be! I can’t thank the “amazing” Helen & her Wonderful team enough. From the minute we arrived all 22 of us had a brilliant time. My brother & sister in law got married at Eilean Donan castle & decided to have the reception at the hotel, along with us all staying there. I arrived on the Thursday & stayed till monday. The food delicious, scenery Ive seen nothing more beautiful & the team absolutely brilliant. Nothing is ever too much trouble, infact these guys are the best. This wedding is one I will never forget, it was perfect, everything the happy couple wanted plus more. The whole weekend was an amazing experience. I did shed a tear when it was time to leave kintail lodge & say bye to the team.

We stayed in this hotel after we finished walking the Affric Kintail Way. Helen was so friendly and accommodating when we arrived a little early! The barman was so friendly and gave us good advice on food and drinks. Very welcoming atmosphere overall. Food was great both at dinner and breakfast. Room was lovely bed really comfy and just what we needed after the walk! Some renovation works going on but did not bother us at all and we are so excited to come back soon!

Great place for a meal and a drink after a day in the mountains. The outdoors seating is great, and there are fine views across the loch. Friendly service, the food was prompt and delicious. Plenty of parking too.

Spent one night at Kintail lodge, a friendly warm welcome on arrival, shown to our room which was lovely with views over the loch.
Plenty of parking.
The room was a great size and clean, the bed comfortable a good night's sleep was had.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was exceptional, absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend eating here, as its open to non residents too.
Breakfast the following morning was really good too.
There is a nice woodland walk along the Loch side, beware the wee beasties though ( midges).
I would, without doubt, recommend kintail lodge to anyone visiting the area.

Stayed one night, large room upstairs at the front with great views of the Loch from two aspects. Inside and outside this place is great with high quality decor. No Lift. It seemed a real family location who were all charming. Bar & Restaurant were both busy with locals. dinner was great with huge portions.. Breakfast was ok. Situated on the A87 at Shiel Bridge, right on the banks of Loch Ducie. Would stay here again without question.

We stayed at the Kintail Lodge for one night, and wished we booked more time! The hotel has been updated nicely, with a spacious breakfast area and common seating area.

The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and our bathroom was very spacious.

Staff was a highlight. Everyone was efficient, friendly, and helpful.

Location was another highlight. Right on the loch, there was a lovely walking path and excellent bird-watching.

We stayed here with family and initially put off by the external building work; how wrong could we be. The room was recently refurbished and a great size. The staff were excellent and good fun, and the food both evening and breakfast was excellent.

Would certainly recommend this place

Situated in a quiet country side location. Very friendly staff. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. I was guided to my room by receptionist other wise I may have got lost. The architect who designed this was having a joke as it is a bit difficult to find your way around at first though this made stay more memorable. Nice comfortable compact single room. I would certainly stay here again if in the area.

We are situated at the foot of the five sisters so you would end up a couple of hundred yards from our door. To start the walk you need to get a lift or take a bus or your car.
