We have visited the Hare & Hounds for meals several times over the past year and have found the food and atmosphere good. We always tip for good service which is very much a matter of the customers choice. We have been happy to recommend the pub to friends. However today we had a family lunch there and did not...

Went with a large group (24 people) and had a beautifully delicious two-course meal. We had pre-ordered but had had a choice of three items per course. All was served quickly and efficiently. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. Lovely décor and open fires. Have previously had excellent lunches with just a few people.

Visited here after viewing a wedding venue just up the road. Lovely little country pub, with the log fire which was very much appreciated on this cold day! We all went for the soup which was Thai pumpkin, quite bland but nevertheless tasted nice. Staff weren't overly friendly but were available if we required. Reasonably priced for what we had.

Lovely sunny if crisp November day. Leisurely trip back from the North. All the Cotswold Hot Spots were heaving. Spotted this. Just perfect. Two very interesting, very fresh sandwiches with a couple of ciders and a bowl of crisp chips. Nice light garden room or roaring log fire. Plenty of seating space. Friendly service. Has rooms and we will be...

Stumbled across this gem whilst on the look out for a late break. Gorgeous looking pub; that gave us great food, warm peaceful lodgings and friendly faces. Don't stop at just booking a stay, be sure to stop for a meal and explore the wine list too. Well presented, great tasting food. Breakfast did not disappoint either. Would definitely return....

We ate here on Friday 14th October on our way to the NEC. We were really looking forward to a meal and drink after a busy week but were very disappointed. Such a lovely looking place from the outside which was matched by the decor inside. However there was an atmosphere that suggested better times with an indifferent style of...

We were delighted to have stumbled across this pretty good pub. We travelled from Manchester for a holiday nearby. We were very hungry so we stopped. The best sausages and mash I've ever had. Thanks much

We stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding. Easy to find, great parking and good no nonesense accommodation. The food was excellent, best pub grub I have had for a very long time. It was not based on chips with everything, standard was much much better. Very helpful staff, would recommend

Had a couple of nice meals. One lunch, one dinner. Very good place to go for something to eat and a drink. Good cooking. Good service. The prices are in line with pub meals, so good value. Plenty of parking.

Booked two rooms b&b for the weekend off eBay. There is no check in between 2.45 & 5.45pm and this is stated on your booking confirmation as the pub is shut. Check in was prompt and the rooms were clean, comfortable beds, nice clean linen, wall mounted tv with free view, kettle and plenty of tea and coffee sachets.Clean bathroom...

“There are only 10 rooms and most are on the ground floor opening onto a courtyard. Rooms are a bit dark unless you have the door open, but for a short stay that's acceptable. Our room No.8 was made darker when No.9 was occupied as their door opened outwards (probably for guests with a disability) and came part way across our window. Plenty of space in the bathroom and a lovely view across the fiel to the back with lots of rabbits hopping about!”
