I stayed at the Plas Hyfryd for three nights in late November and was delighted to feel part of the family for all of the time I was there. The staff are all excellent, and the breakfasts are delicious. My room (14, up in the Gods it seemed) was generously proportioned and very clean with new towels every day despite... More

We stayed in a family room on the ground floor, it was adequate and of a decent standard. There were issues however , the price (£120) was a lot for the quality of the room and the sound proofing was inadequate to say the least. Every time the people/cast members of stomp moved in the room above we heard every... More

We have been staying with the Plas "family" Hyfryd hotel for years We have never been disappointed and always enjoy the experience escape we discovered here in the heart of Pembs. Rooms are adequately proportional and are clean with a modern decor. Food is great with a seasonal menu offering locally sourced produce and a good wine selection to complement... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and the location in Narberth is ideal, plenty of parking and right opposite the park. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the room was clean and a reasonable size. I would have given 4 stars if the bed had been comfortable but the mattress dipped in the middle and was very uncomfortable.... More

We booked the main room at the hotel for my mother's funeral reception as it is close to the crematorium. The staff were helpful and Nicole happily kept taking the revised numbers. My niece had done a PowerPoint presentation and Sam assisted her the evening before in checking it all worked, even though they were in the midst of setting... More

We are a local charity and every day weeks I thought trustees away for a planning day.. We get no funding for our running costs so every penny counts as does every volunteer, So it is important for us to show appreciation by taking the team out for a meal. From the start of my enquiry about conferences assist the... More

I have used this hotel server all times to run seminars and find it second to none. The staff are very welcoming, lunch is always lovely and nothing is too much trouble, especially for Hayley and Steve, the manager.

OK so this place is never going to be anything amazing. However it was clean, tidy and the food was excellent. Location was perfect as it is at the top of the village so just a minutes walk away with a park and playground across the road if you have kids with you. They could do with changing some of... More

Pretty grim and overpriced. Taking unfair advantage of its prime position at the top of town. First room had no bathroom mirror. Second room had elderly duvet and aged pillows that had a faintly unpleasant odour. Decor is dated and borderline comical. Our guest's room had aircon box (or something else?) outside which kept her awake all night. Narberth?...nah.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Plas Hyfryd, a small privately owned 3 star hotel, is situated in Narberth, in the heart of Pembrokeshire and only a short distance from the seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot. Being central within the county, Hotel Plas Hyfryd is superbly located to take a peaceful 'away from it all' break. Little is known of the Hotel's history, Thomas Thomas, a retired surgeon, built 'Belmore House' and lived here until 1829. The house was designed by James Hughes, who was responsible for much of the development in Narberth. The name 'Plas Hyfryd' translates to the English 'lovely palace', and when you enter the front entrance and are greeted with the palatial staircase, it is easy to see why. We have fifteen en-suite rooms, including family rooms and executive suites and a stylish restaurant with an excellent menu by one of Pembrokeshire's most renowned chefs. Our function suite has all the modern facilities and comfort you would require whether you are planning a wedding, family celebration, business conference, team building event or training day. We hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you as a guest at the Hotel Plas Hyfryd. Our team are committed to a friendly, personal and professional service and look forward to extending a special Pembrokeshire welcome! ... more   less
