This was my first time in a traditional ryokan, so my review does not draw from a reservoir of similar experience. I stayed one night in this beautiful establishment which is perched on a hill overlooking the town. It is a twenty minute walk from the town center, providing a rather calm atmosphere. It has a direct view of Mount...

I got the winner prize to rest at Yufuno Saigakukan. It ' s the ryokan hotel,(Japanese style). It's closely with Yufuin Mountain, very beautiful view. 2 types of onsen services; private and public onsen. The price is included with breakfast and dinner that very delicious. It's far 10 minutes from Yufuin village that you can walk and shop and you...

This ryokan is a bit away from the main area. It's cool to see all the streams of onsen steam from different facilities over the city. The ryokan is traditional setting and has a bunch of old things set out as decoration. The night we were there happened to have a kagura performance, in which the ryokan owner was part...

The Japanese owners who lived in London for some years, provide a traditional style inn. One can select Japanese rooms or a room slightly more aimed at Westerners in that there is a western bathroom and a choice of a futon on a tatami mat or an ordinary bed. The rooms have a Japanese sitting area and a sleeping area...

I could not have found a better Onsen hotel, from the tea service offered at checkin to all the meals and baths, this place surpassed all my expectations. Just look at my pictures and you will know what I mean, it's almost too beautiful to believe. The drawback is that the hotel is a bit farther from the Main Street,...

We met earthquake during our stay in hotel. I was impressed by the management and attitude of hotel staff. Although the hotel was damaged severely, hotel staff kept going in and out from the hotel to take jackets and quilt to customers. Everybody was panic at that moment. Luckily, hotel staff had good command of English, so that foreign customers...

We stayed at Yufunogo Saigakukan on our first night in Yufuin. The hotel dining area has a lovely view. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price is very reasonable since it includes dinner and breakfast. Dinner is a nice kaiseki meal. We came with our friends and their family in a total of 12 people including kids - so...

I'm so glad we've chosen this place to stay... the room (specify mountain view) was great... service is excellent, i would only improve dinner, adding more variety for those who don't like fish... at dinner the beef was the best part (my opinion)...

We stay for two nights in the Ryokan and it was a fantastic experience both in terms of gastronomy and hot-springs. However I think what the brochure show is not real. The onsens do not have the views mentioned in the photos. We have a room with a fantastic view to the Yuhudake mountain. Staff is very polite and all...

This hotel is no a high-class luxury hotel. The class is intermediate. But we were surprised at the great view of Yuhudake. We were satisfied with great view, delicious dinner, and good hot spring.
