I love this place! First stay as a birthday treat. The room was amazing, especially the bed! A little too soft for a long nights sleep, but it was so beautiful! Breakfast was better on our second day as nothing had run out. The people who work here are so polite and friendly, they are a credit to the hotel!

I returned to Bath Lodge Castle this year with my granddaughter of seven years and have to say what a difference a year has made. The new management team are superb and catered for our every need. The hotel itself was spotless and fine details well thought out, especially the box of toiletries and chocolates left by the bed. The... More

Beautiful room and lovely building. Only downside was the most uncomfortable bed ever! Woke up with hideous back ache. Other than that the place and the food was awesome! Loved the bunnies in the garden and being able to feed them.

We have been going to BLC to dine for a few years and absolutely love the building and the setting. Karen the owner is terrific but to be honest we are puzzled about what we percieve as a gradual lowering of service standards. As noted elsewhere the restaurant now has cafe style presentation that we don't think is appropriate. But... More

I read some of the reviews below before we ever decided to book the BLC. They seemed consistent only to the degree that people either loved or hated the place. That said, down below there is a review of a fellow and his partner who were confronted by the owner after they let their dog run loose on the property... More

Stayed for 2 days in the stunning Stirling room with its own terrace. Excellent professional friendly staff, superb food. I've read some of the not so complimentary reviews of this beautiful hotel and if I had to find fault with this 5 star AA hotel and I had to think hard about this it would be the satin covered coat... We pre-booked with friends for 6 people in this '5*' castle which turned out to be a very disappointing experience!!! We arrived to be be the only 6 people in the restaurant!!! * Table sets like a cafe style * Wine dumped on table with caps on. .... no option to taste or poured! Had to request ice bucket for... As hoteliers we do not mind when TripAdvisor reviews make constructive criticisms. However, what is quite unacceptable is that some people use their review to make mendacious and dishonest claims. The truth is that these people decided that they did not wish to pay their bill of £154 after consuming everything that was served to them including their wine and... More

Just got back from a 2 night stay in this hotel and it was excellent. Stayed in the Windsor room where the furnishings and fittings were great, bed was very comfortable, service was excellent, Mike the manager was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good, steak was cooked just as I had asked for. Breakfast was also very good,... More
