It is a lovely place, very cosy and welcoming. The staff were fabulous and helpful. The food was excellent value. All in all a pleasant visit. The only disappointed was that the sea food salad that my husband fancied was not available as No one had ever ordered it before! Think they should remove it from menu list. It has...

£50 per night and worth more ! The inn offered clean simple rooms which for the price was great value. Good pub food is on offer at good prices. Oakley is a good central point to be to gatwick airport and on to the M25

Stayed at The Inn on The Green for one night prior to an early morning pick up from Gatwick. Exceptionally friendly staff, couldn't do enough for me. On arrival checked in and then taken to my room. As I was leaving early the next morning, the staff arranged for a breakfast barm to be made up and left outside the...

We arrived around midnight but had been given instructions on how to get in and find our room. Through a hobbit door we found a perfectly adequately sized room with en-suite and a very comfortable bed. Only meeting the hostess in the morning, we were unprepared for how lovely the place was. A very good continental breakfast with excellent coffee...

I haven't been here since 1996, when it was 'The Red Lion'. I used to live in Dorking. Much has changed but I am pleased to report that what matters hasn't. We were travelling from Bedfordshire to meet my husbands elderly God Parents and so, as they live in Henfield this wasn't too far for them to drive. Plus it's...

Lovely garden with a small play park, we liked that there were toys dotted about the garden (scooter, space hopper, football etc) We ordered food at the bar and went and sat outside. I had the fish and chips - it was absolutely beautiful and served with a delicious homemade tartare sauce, it was as good as the best fish...

I stop in hotels every single week due to my job. The pub was really nice. Friendly locals and staff however things changed dramatically once I saw the room. I can honestly say it's one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed in. I had originally booked in for 2 nights. I decided that I couldn't suffer the room...

Visited with a group of friends for lunch. As we were a significant number we had pre-booked. There were no problems with the orders and the service was friendly and polite. The food was very good, the only reservation is that it is rather expensive at £12.50 for Burger and Chips and £4 for a pint of bitter.

Really mixed views on my stay here. Friendly staff, good service , decent room with a good sized bath and lots of hot water. It is a large country village pub but laid out throughout for serving food with the exception of 2 sofas but these are detached from the main area. I personally could not settle for a relaxing...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Inn on the Green and The Green Rooms Restaurant is a 15th-century public house set in the lovely village of Ockley, with a traditional bar, lounge and fine dining restaurant and conservatory. The bar is oak-beamed and full of character, with a great selection of beers, wines and spirits. The rear of the pub is a very comfortable lounge area with sofas and an open fire. There is a separate games room with pool table and fruit machine. The restaurant seats up to 76 people and serves a traditional English home made menu of locally-sourced food, freshly cooked by our team of Chefs. Behind the pub is an enclosed beer garden with children’s play area and a 90-space car park. The pub has six en-suite bedrooms, including a large family room, and the rates include a full English breakfast. The warm and friendly welcome, combined with the scenery and walks of the Surrey hills makes this a very special place to come and visit. ... more   less
