Very accommodating kind owners and comfortable house. Breakfast was delicious. Cakes and hot drinks on arrival and wet clothes dealt with! Very kindly gave us a lift into Alnwick. Overall, lovely couple, home from home atmosphere and roaring fire to dry out our gear. Would definitely recommend.

Janet made me very welcome, parking was easy & my room was well furnished with a high standard of accessories. Room and en-suite bathroomm squeaky clean, big fluffy bath towels and very comfy bed. Breakfast was exceptional, with a wide range of items to choose from. I treated myself to a traditional breakfast by choosing exactly what I wanted from...

My wife and I are over 65 but felt like a couple of kids in this fantastic environment. It really is a tree house! All the furniture is rustic and rough hewn. Very impressive. I chose a good old fashioned prawn cocktail followed by Northumberland sausage. The cocktail was stuffed to the brim with prawn and I can only award...

We stayed here for one night on a cycling tour. I booked via the web, but I wanted to confirm the booking by phone and unfortunately I found it impossible to contact the B&B by phone: my calls were not answered and the messages I left were not returned. I was very worried that I had parted with my money...

Decided at the last minute to join Family in Northumberland for the Bank Holiday weekend. We were very fortunate to get in due to a late cancellation (Only 10 minutes previously). On arrival we were met by Janet who ,although feeling under the weather, offered tea and a freshly made cake to us, which is a nice touch. Lovely twin room which...

I stayed at Chestnut Tree House while working at the nearby RAF camp, arriving late on a Sunday. I stayed in the single room, where the range of amenities on offer was outstanding. Janet and Alf had left juice, mineral water and a whole range of teas and coffees in my room, along with lovely fluffy towels. The next morning,...

I've recently enjoyed my fourth stay at Chestnut Tree House and I can't praise it highly enough. Janet provides outstanding hospitality - the room and food are the best I've experienced. I visit this part of Northumberland at least once a year and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Chris

I spent a very pleasant couple of days at this excellent B&B whilst working at RAF Boulmer which is close by. The landlady, Janet, is very friendly and greeted me with a cup of tea on arrival and on my return from work the next evening. My bedroom was very comfortable, the shower was powerful, and breakfast was delicious. In...
