After reading many positive reviews we booked our first night in Provence at the chateau. Though the chateau was beautiful we found the owner cold. We had reserved a room with a shower (specifically stated on reservation) were given a room with just a very deep tub told there would be an up charge to move to the only "shower...

We stayed at this hotel two nights and had a fantastic time. We travelled with another couple and had the whole castle for ourselves. We had dinner and breakfast in the castle kitchen. As there were no city lights the starry sky was amazing. It is an old castle so if you have trouble with stairs it may not be...

What an amazing place built around 1064 and still permanent occupation in parts not visited by tourists. A totally fantastic authentic place with a beautiful garden and fantastic views over surroundings.

A very unique stay for a night. Where else can you stay in a castle (that also doubles a museum in the day). Great setting, overlooking the French countryside. Only downside was that we weren't really shown around on arrival or explained about the castle, instead we were just delivered to our room and left to ourselves. Granted, we were...

The Castle is first and foremost a home, secondly a B&B with this in mind take in to account the owners (Who speak little a English) have taken you into their home - lovingly prepared 5 Anazing rooms ranked in Price (my favorite is the Amour Suite). we stayed in the Elisa Suite and it was beautiful! there are many...

An enchanting experience from the moment you step through the doors until the moment you leave. The owners are welcoming and embody "hospitality." Breakfast is served each morning in the old kitchen with fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, tea along with fresh croissants and baguettes. Be sure to have dinner at least once during your stay. Cappucine, the owners' daughter,...

We were excited about our stay at this place, because we wanted to experience staying in a chateau. However, what really made this stay so amazing was the great hospitality of the hosts and the staff. Every one we interacted with was kind and helpful and we felt that they were very sincere in making our stay as pleasant as...

First...there are 84 steps to the top room (my husband counted). Was it worth it? Definitely. We arrived during Mistrial (high winds 1/3 of the year here) which I had heard of and it was rather exciting. Our room had a wonderful, huge room and a bath that could not be topped on our travels. Owners even invited us for...

Stayed at the castle for 2 nights. The views from the room are incredible. Lovely breakfast served each morning. La Barben is a tiny town with only a zoo for an attraction. Luckily the town is only about a 10 minute drive to a wonderful town called Salon de Provence with plenty of shopping & restaurants to explore. Please be...

This stay fulfilled my dream of staying in a castle! Lovely and hospitable owners. One piece of advice: it is a walk up a hill and stairs once inside so pack just an overnight bag to carry instead of a large suitcase.
