Cityden Zuidas

If you are a family traveling to Amsterdam , I highly recommend this hotel . It is 13 mins by train to city center. The hotel is few minutes walk to metro! They have a kitchenette and laundry, a nice restaurant and bar. During summer, the roof top is really cool to hang out.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was nice, spacious and quiet. It has lovely duvet bedding and a well equiped kitchen (I loved the Nespresso machine). The bathroom was also quite big and I enjoyed the nice smelling handsoap and bodywash / shampoo. Very convenient were the washing and drying machines on each floor. The hotel has a good restaurant on the upper floor with amazing food prepared by an Italian chef. We had a very tasty 3 course dinner and the appetizer platter was so good. I have to go back for that. The staff was very friendly and always helpful with anything we needed. They were also welcoming you all the time with a contagious smile and a nice greeting. Although the hotel is not in Amsterdam, the location is great. It is in a quiet neighbourhood and everything is easily accessible. You can park your car on the premises but parking in the neighbourhood is free. A tram station is nearby (3 minutes walk). You can grab a tram to Amsterdam City Center, VU medical center, Amstelveen Stadshart shopping center or the train station. Supermarket, convenient stores and restaurants are only a 6 minute walk. Anyway I definitely recommend this hotel and will return. A special thanks to the staff for making our stay so great!

The reception was very friendly and made the stay very relaxing. The room (charm studio) was a bit smaller than expected, but for a couple of nights big enough! The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary things inside. The room was clean, however, under the bed, there was a lot of dust (so maybe the cleaning staff needs to look a little bit into that as well). All in all, I would recommend staying there. It takes around 35 minutes by public transport to the central station and you can buy a day ticket for 8,50€ to take as many tram/bus as you wish. Right next to the hotel there is a nice forest where you can walk around!

Hi Nina, Thank you for your feedback. It is good to hear that our team could make your stay and enjoyable one. It is unfortunate that your rooms cleanliness was not up to standard. We will address this with our housekeeping team to make sure in the future this won't be the case. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We hope to welcome you again! Kind regards, Ebony, Cityden UP

We were visiting family in Amstelveen but also wanted proximity to Amsterdam. This place provided both. Very friendly and accommodating front desk and staff. Nice, clean rooms, Well stocked kitchen and Nespresso machine was a plus. Comfortable bed and liked the den concept for privacy and quiet sleeping. Wonderful shower and bath. Laundry facilities nice and close in hallway but dryer doesn't dry so just skip and airdry washed items in the room. Had a little trouble figuring out the air conditioning but thankful we had it and the room came with directions, which helped. Very close to tram station Kronenburg with a quick tram ride to Amsterdam. Will stay here again!

Only a 30 minute picturesque cycle ride from Amsterdam city centre, this modern hotel has everything one could need. Self contained studio rooms with a kitchen, bathroom, beds, sofa, TV, WiFi and various other amenities great for a short or long stay. Staff are friendly and helpful; Paisley was very nice and oversaw that our stay was 5 star from start to finish. Thank you, we shall be returning next time we visit Amsterdam.

We stayed 4 nights for family trip and I chooses this hotel for low budget, I was not pretending to have luxury stay so it was more than ok for my expectations. The room is big enough for 3 person, I had some problem with the allergy since I’have allergy for everything, but it is ok, it was my problem. When we checked in, the room was smelling terribly, the kitchen air cleaning system was not really working. The neighbor room was making noisy entire night at the last night, we were able to hear all very clearly!

The distance from the center was around 6 kilometers, you can just take the tram number 5 and in 30 minutes you are at the centrum, but if you want to arrive at the central station you have to change and it will be around 45 minutes.

The hotel staff are really kind and helpful!

The apartment was perfectly clean and we really felt at home. We also loved that the kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to cook some meals at home. The only "down"side was that the hotel was a bit further away from the city center, and that's why my review only gets 4 bullet points. It was around a thirty minute tram ride from the station Biesbosch and you reach the center with tram line 5. Other than that, I would totally recommend Cityden up to other travellers.

Reception was efficient, room was clean with a well equipped kitchen (proper pans), bed was cosy and comfortable, large bathroom, big windows so room was welcoming and bright. The tram was 5 minute walk away and about 20 mins into the museum quarter. We came back to Cityden close to midnight via the tram and my daughter and I felt safe - the area is well lit, clean and open. Groceries were a pleasant walk through a residential area. We were able to leave our bags with reception on the last day. You can buy travel passes from reception - good value if you are exploring different parts of the city and want to take the bus to the airport. Really enjoyed our stay and would love to return. (word of advice - make sure you book the van Gogh museum in advance)

It was a quiet and comfortable accommodation located about 10 minutes from Amsterdam South Station by Trem. Jumbo Market, located 2 stops before Trem, sells ingredients from each country that can be cooked at this apartel. Considering the cost of living in the Netherlands, this hotel, where you can cook breakfast and dinner, is excellent value for money. Large smart TV, Netflix available, not noisy neighborhood, ample coffee provided, and overall the configuration of all rooms is excellent.

We stayed in Cityden Up for 2 nights. We arrived to the hotel by car and parked around the hotel before making our way to reception. When asked about parking, although there were lots of free parking around we were told we could park in the parking lot of hotel for £12 per day which I feel is a bit much considering lots of free spaces around on street. However, while our room was tidy and clean my biggest grievance is with regards to the bed in the room. As it's a boxed setup of sorts there is no way the sleeping arrangements can be amended to make it into a twin instead of a double. So I don't quite understand why the hotel chose to use two single mattresses instead of a double. We had difficulty sleeping both nights as there was a gap between the 2 mattresses(see the picture). We eventually used the headrest provided to plug the gap so to speak but it was still uncomfortable for a good night's sleep. So if it's a peaceful sleep is what you are after I'd avoid this place.

Dear Sachinp, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback following your recent experience at Cityden up. We are sorry to see that your stay did not meet expectations. We are sorry that you was not informed in advance about the street parking, although this is free in certain areas it is not always available and some of the street is also charged. For this reason we also offer resereved parking at a cost of 12,50 EUR per night in a secure car park. It is a shame to see that the layout of the room was not as you wished, we will certainly take your feedback onboard to see if any changes can be made, guest comfort is one of our number one priorities. Once again i would like to thank you for your feedback, this does help us to improve. Best regards, Paisley

The room was split between 3 adults and a 7 year old. We stayed in the XXL room. The twin beds are next to each other, but the separation between them means you can share the beds and not feel the person moving next to you. They were surprisingly comfortable too. However, one of the adults had to sleep on the sofa bed and she cut her knee on the sharp springs inside the bed. It was so uncomfortable that it caused lasting back pain and a sleepless night. Also, the location is too far from the city. It was a tram and train which took 30-40 minutes. It would’ve been tolerable if there was stuff to do/eat nearby but there was nothing. Lastly, the coffee in the room was delicious and strong, but when we tried to get more the next day they charged us for each pod, which I thought was weird and unnecessary.

Hello Naima, a supérette is what exactly? The easiest way to Schiphol is by taxi, especially with luggage, but the cheaper way to take the tram to the World Trade Centre then change to the train to the airport, fully doable. Hope this helps? Greetings. from warm and sunny Zurich Yvonne
