we stayed here for 2 night and we really liked it, staff was very friendly and food was delicious. Nice location. Not too far from zakopanazakopan and you can also visit Hight Tatras (it s about 45 minutes by car)
Breakfasts were of a wide choice. It was quiet in my room, neigbours didn't distract my sleep. The view from the window was splendid. The staff were very friendly. There were only 2 disadvantages for me - a very-very weak WiFi signal in my room and absense of a safe deposit box both in the room and at the reception. In general, it was a satisfying experience. Thank you!
Just returned from 5 night stay. Half board basis could not fault the food. Our room 108 was above the bowling alley but did not worry us. Room cleaned daily would have been good to get fresh cups and tea/sugar topped up rather than take items from the breakfast buffet. Our room was fine, modern bathroom and all clean. Nice little spa in hotel you pre book so there was no overcrowding.. Great location for skiing ski bus stops outside hotel, we chose to walk the ten mins leaving our ski's and boots at the hire shop. The hotel has a 10% discount card, just take this to the ski hire shop. You need ID which we did not realise. Credit card (also needed) can't be used as ID.. For anyone wanting to try skiing for the first time or gong back after a few years off it's a perfect location and resort. Nice wide gentle runs and lessons cheap, we paid £20 for an hours private lesson for two. Suggest you book in advance as very popular. Five days equipment hire £27 and ski passes £60. Perfect for families. On slopes cheap to eat as well. Trip to the Termia spa worth doing, 10 min walk from hotel. Great for families or adults as there is an adults only(over 16) zone. Be warned no swimwear can be worn in the saunas or steam rooms in the adults only section!…
Burkaty is advertised as a family friendly place, but it really is not a place for families. There were parties and arguments until 3am 3 out of 6 nights we were there. There wasvery loud music at the restaurant until past 10pm and untill 1.00 am at the bowling alley in the basement of the hotel. When we complained we were told that there was noting they could do about it. In fact the only time I was contacted by the manager, was after I posted a negative review on social media! I received a very unprofessional and rude email which offered no apology. The staff at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself was basic but nice. The food was tasty, but the breakfast was a bit of a let down (instant coffee, little choice, waiting for the buffet to be refreshed, etc.).
Six of us including two small children stayed at this B&B in January and although the service from the staff was generally good, we were awoken three times during the night (around 1am) over the course of a week by groups of drunk men. The manager/owner had to intervene in all three cases and had to call the police for one. The B&B has a policy in its Guestbook stating "silence" from 11pm. In its terms and conditions it states that a quiet and comfortable night is "guaranteed". It also describes itself as "family friendly" on its website. These instances were both very disruptive to us, especially the children, and intimidating. When we made a complaint at reception we were told that there was nothing they would do about the situation and that they did not "legally" need to make any recompense. It would have been better to offer an apology and view the situation from a customer service point of view rather than a legal view. I actually run a B&B myself and consider situations from the customer point of view as this is the most "valuable" asset to preserve. If these instances of drunken behaviour at Burkaty are rare then it is appropriate to provide recompense. If they happen frequently than Burkaty need to explain how they are addressing the issue. We received neither. Disappointing.…
