The B&B is wonderful. Family owned with a lot of pride. Rooms are all updated and comfortable. But above all, eat there. The dinner was out of this world good. Make sure it is the same chef. I am afraid I don't know his name but he was a black gentleman in his 30s or so. As I recall he... More

We stayed here for two nights and the purpose was to go to Trolltunga. Tyssedal (where the hike to Trolltunga starts) is only a short hour from Rosendal. The hotel is very nice, located close to the small harbour, and with a view to the fjord. We stayed in a room on 1st floor (2. etasje) with a bathroom in... More

We spent the night here as part of a self guided bicycle tour. Our rooms were simple and had shared baths down the hall. The bathrooms were very nicely renovated. I think they already renovated top floor rooms. The hotel was distinct, with a friendly but casual feel. The hotel dining was excellent. Had the best fish soup of the... More

Not once during our stay, were we wished welcome, neither to our stay, nor to the restaurant!! Three double rooms had been booked and confirmed, but only two were on their list when we arrived! (Fortunately they managed to fix it). The menu offered was soup both as starter and as main course (they also offered one meat course) and... More

We were booked into this hotel as part of a cycling trip around Norway and had a mixed experience during our one-night stay: the hotel is right opposite the ferry terminal with fantastic views over the fjord, and most of the hotel (the restaurant, the bathrooms, the guest lounge and most of the bedrooms) is attractively decorated and beautifully presented.... Family-run hotel with a newly renovated set of chic hotel bedrooms on the top floor, highly recommended. We were warmly welcomed by the proprietress, whose family has contributed antique furnishings to some of the rooms. We were given tips of local things to see and spent the afternoon at the Rosencrone Baronetcy estate with its gorgeous gardens and walking paths... More

We stayed in the new rooms and they where cool...but also a bit cold. The heating was probably put on a bit late...But sk nice view and cool pictures from the... More

Clean room and comfortable bed. OK for one night - shared bathroom wasn't ideal but that was reflected in the price which was very reasonable for Norway. Nice breakfast prepared by very friendly staff. Noise was a bit of a problem - both inside from other guests (the wooden building seems to amplify doors being shut and people talking) and... More

I at a nice dinner in the restaurant with my mother, and it was great. It wasn't perfect, since I had to find forks and knives and glasses myself, but since I've worked there it wasn't a problem. The main course was good. We both ordered ox, which was good and tasty, but not amazing. The dessert was really good,... More

It is a very well intentioned place, using local ingredients like ramslok(a kind of wild herb reminiscent of garlic). Unfortunately the flavours are not that well balanced, so you end up with a pretty average tasting meal. Prices about averge for Norway, expect to pay close to 400 for lunch with dessert per person. Hotel is cosy, and the staff... More
