Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were upp visiting relatives and thought that the travel lodge would be OK, only it was fully booked. Result. So very glad it was and we stayed here. Val and Ray are amazing people and could not have been more welcoming or accomodating. Great room, great price, easy to find, easy parking, great facilities and when the play barn is built you won't need to go far to knacker the kids out! They're very proud of the farm and rightly so. We will be back. Lots.

Stayed for one night. This is a lovely B&B and the host Val and her husband are very welcoming. We stayed on possibly the hottest night of the year so far so the room was incredibly hot. The room was clean. The bathroom gorgeous with roll top bath. Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable as when you lay on it you feet are higher than your head so we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed. Breakfast was delicious.

We stayed at Lower Drayton Farm for 9 nights while we were in the area for family reasons. The hosts couldn't be more helpful, particularly when my wife fell ill in the middle of our stay. The room was comfortable, clean, had a great view, and included a fridge with bottles of fresh milk every day. And nice biscuits! And this apparently was a budget room! We shared a bathroom with one other room, but we knew that when we booked, and it was never an issue. The B&B is about a mile outside Penkridge, and about a mile and a half to M6 J13 in the other direction. Very easy to get to. It's on a working farm which is also a tourist attraction. We were on a room only rate, so never sampled the breakfast. Next time we will.

Drove here today with my grandsons. And can honestly say it's lovely for the little ones. A few animals around which can be fed, then a ride on the tractor trailer to see the other field where the combine harvester was in motion. Then back to see llamas and ostriches! Along with a variety of goats and cows. Theres a park and play area and old fire truck and tractors.Really family oriented. Well worth a visit.

My Husband and I booked a one night stay here on our way up to the Lake District. We arrived very late (About 11:30pm after seeing a show at the theatre in Birmingham) and yet Val was very welcoming. Our room was big with a beautiful bathroom and everything was provided - free wifi, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries etc. The décor was lovely and the bed was great. We both slept very well. In the morning my Husband had an English breakfast, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend staying here!

Great short stay with Ray & Val. Wonderful stay on a working farm conveniently located just off the Stafford turn off on M6. Lots of Skylarks & other wildlife around in the area. Val cooks a brilliant full English breakfast to set you up for the day. Highly recommended & will stay again.

We stayed for a couple of nights as a family of five in one room. It was very clean, friendly and unexpectedly spacious. The breakfast was delicious and our adjacent bathroom, again, very spacious and lovely decorated. We felt very welcome and can highly recommend it.

We just wanted a straightforward B&B to break a long drive to Scotland. We travel with 2 dogs who sleep in the car but have, of course, requirements for exercise etc. This working farm was ideal. It is just off the main roads. There are safe and rural walks nearby. The village has an excellent pub for dinner. The rooms are clean and spacious, if slightly old-fashioned - but it is a farmhouse. There is plenty of free parking .The owners are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was bounteous and the price was, we felt, pretty good value. It is on our list to use again.
