Such a fantastic place, the surroundings are beautiful and the atmosphere so peaceful. This is the perfect spot to relax and feel far away from busy everyday life.
The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The bungalows were clean and very nicely decorated. We loved the local basket and sun hat provided in the rooms and high quality shampoo and soaps from Inaya Zanzibar. The food was great and we miss so much the delicious fresh juices and fantastic breakfasts! The swimming pool and pool area is lovely. We also loved the private beach and ocean swimming during high tide. The beach is peaceful, clean and has stunning views.
We definitely wish to come back to this wonderful and idyllic place :)

If you want to spend time in a quiet, cozy, home environment - you must come here. A beautiful place where you dip into the local color and get a great service. Very beautiful area and nice rooms. In the room you will also find a lovely local designer gown and slippers, hats and a handbag for the beach. A special thank you to Fabi - this is a person who puts soul into this hotel, he does not just work here, but gives a piece of himself. Nice and varied cuisine. The place is very quiet and calm. Right across the beach. Accommodation in other bungalows with toilet and shower. I advise you to visit for relaxation and a wonderful holiday

I stayed at Ujamaa for four lovely days in September and would have been content to stay longer. The food and drinks were all delicious, and there was fresh bread at breakfast every day. I still think about the octopus curry! The massages were affordable and wonderful. The beach was the whitest sand with so many lovely shells. No trash or plastic anywhere! Faby was the loveliest bartender/activity coordinator—I would come back here again in a second!

I had a booking at Ujamaa Beach Resort in January 2020, based on their advertising of free wifi, which was in fact not available when I arrived. The property took prepayment on my credit card and refused to refund me, even though I was unable to stay because of their deceptive practices. I have been trying to resolve this matter with them for more than 9 months now and they refuse to answer my communication on the matter. I would strongly advise against booking this property, considering it is not how it appears online and they do not honor basic customer service principles.

A very peaceful and quiet place. A bit too quiet actually, at least when we were there. The things we liked best - great and good variety of food. Great breakfasts also! Very nice staff and a great concept with the charity project and nice shoo.
The things we did not like so much - the bungalows are a bit dark and it is a bit expensive - but if the money goes to projects I guess it is alright then.

Had such a super chilled week at Ujamaa, Roger and his team have it just right. Sammy looked after us in the restaurant and Martin was a whizz at the bar. It's a great spot right on the beach, no hawkers trying to sell you things, just friendly locals from the village. It's a small hotel - dozen or so bungalows - the grounds are kept immaculately, as are the rooms. Loved swimming in the sea at high tide and the pool and surrounds fab.

What an amazing place! Ok it's a long drive from Ferry but more then worth the journey. It is a beautiful spot right on the beach. The beach bungalows are so lovely..decor perfect. They have thought of absolutely everything. ... sun hats, bags, massage area, great pool, swings, hammocks, seating areas under lovely palms. It's so peaceful and chilled. My children loved it. My toddler loved the play house; she kept going to 'my house' and spent ages just pottering around so we could relax whilst keeping an eye on her. The food was delicious. We will definitely recommend to others and go back ourselves.

Ujamaa resort is a perfect little ( 12 houses )resort that gives you the pleasure of being away from crowds and noises. We have discovered a way of living in a community with the kindest local staff who are all from the next door village who depend on the hotel. Roger has build with his Italian wife a place were everybody feels at home. The beach is magical and the water tuqouise . thanks again for this wonderfull moment with you. Talia & David

This really is a wonderful place everything you need to relax. Small place, just 12 rooms, perfectly formed! Superb outlook, great bungalow accommodation, fabulous team of well trained locals led by one of the coolest and most efficient guys I have come across. Roger the Rasta is on it and you wouldn't even know it.

Great choice of food and reasonably priced. Plenty of varieties of drinks and if you want something specific for your stay Roger and his team will oblige. Nothing seems too much.

My daughters had a number of spa treatments as did some of the other guests who were there and all came back glowing.

There were some low key, very entertaining events put on that got all guests hooked.

Would definitely like to return soon!

Buon soggiorno!
