Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a great hotel, with beautiful views . The rooms are spacious , modern and clean . We ate in the restaurant and the food was really tasty . The staff here were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble . The breakfast was great too with good options . A really lovely stay on our NC500 tour .

Fantastic, homely hotel. We only stayed one night but the staff were super friendly and very accommodating for us as we had a dog. The food was lovely, especially the breakfast! Lovely views and worth a stop off if doing the NC500

After a long day on motorbikes and the cool evening setting in, the Bettyhill was a warm sanctuary atop the hill overlooking Torrisdale Bay. I stayed in Room 2 with a a view over the bay. It was recently refitted , redecorated and had a lovely bathroom with a real power shower. All the people were warm friendly and determined to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Add this hotel to your itinerary for your Scottish adventure and you will not be disappointed.

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed! Beautiful views, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, large showers, and wonderful bar and restaurant. We only stayed here one night during our exploration of the NC500 but this was bar far our favorite stay of the trip. I cannot recommend the Bettyhill Hotel enough! Any extra cost for a room with a view is totally worth it, as is eating dinner in the hotel restaurant (breakfast there is provided in the cost of your room and is delicious). Great food and again great views!

Room Tip: Book a room with a view - we had room 2 and it’s the best view we’ve ever had from a hotel room.

Opted to book a room with a sea view and wasn't disappointed. The rooms are a good size with really comfy Simba mattresses and quality bedding. Downstairs the bar is really friendly and the restaurant does a great evening menu. The food mixed with the service and sea view from the restaurant was really impressive. Well worth the money. If you really wany to spoil yourself book room 1 which has a dual aspect 😍

We stayed for one night in room 1, if booking definitely ask for this room. Massive windows and an amazing view of the beach. Room was very big with great on suite. We ate in the bar food was good and menu had a great range of food. You could take your dog in bar but not into the restaurant. Breakfast was good and was busy. Wished that I’d booked two nights here to had more time to explore. Dog friendly.

We stay one night in the holiday cottage on the NC500 route. Family of 4 (2 teenage kids). The cottage was really homely and had stunning views. Would definitely stay again. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, the staff were really lovely and friendly. Food was really good and the view from the dining room was stunning. Definitely recommend.

Stayed in the cottage (end terraced house opposite the hotel) and ate in the hotel for evening meal (optional) and for breakfast (included). Accommodation was clean, food was excellent and service very good. Would happily use again.

As a last minute treat, my partner and I stayed over at the Bettyhill hotel for the night after pulling in for an evening meal whilst on the road (fortunately they had a room). From the moment we were welcomed by the wonderfully polite, warm & friendly girl on the bar (I wish I got her name) until the moment we checked out, this hotel delivered. Evening meal was delicious (lentil bolognaise) and the same girl who greeted us waited on us and was again very attentive, she was multitasking like a pro! Our room (#25) was cosy, very clean and comfortable. We were in an en suite which had a steam resistant mirror! Nice touch! Breakfast - different but still another charming lady waiting on again very friendly and attentive, beautifully cooked breakfast with tasty veggie sausage and veggie haggis. Overall, delightful stay and cannot wait to return, nothing but happy memories now from Bettyhill hotel ❤️

After 6 days on the road, this was our best hotel experience by far. Stunning views, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It had both a lively bar and also a quiet lounge bar to experience the views. The food presented at both dinner and breakfast was faultless. If ever I find myself back in the Highlands, this hotel will be top of my list
