Was visiting family near Bettyhill and looking for dog friendly place to stay for 4 adults and 2 dogs. From first call speaking to Karen to my various questions answered by Karen and Luke we felt we were in safe hands. We booked a cottage and wow it was perfect for us as a family. The hotel itself was amazing, lovely bar and we had evening dinner one night which was some of the best fish and chips ever had. Breakfast is fresh and cooked on demand and I highly recommend a stay here… thanks Karen and Luke and we will be back

Stopped here for one night whilst doing the NC 500. Great hosts and matched by the excellent food at breakfast and dinner. Location is wonderful albeit remote but is only 300 metres from Farr beach which was beautiful. Would return if in the area.

Whats not to like ..A bif flat field ,a pub to get drinks till closing time ..No facilities after the pub closes so you need to be self sufficient ,But a fab safer place than a roadside spot .,,,All for ten whole pounds ,,,Just go to the bar and pay a staff member . A short walk through the sand dunes brings you to a huge amazingly beautiful beach .....We definetly want to stay here again

Nice small field to pitch up safely overnight for £10. No amenities on the field, but toilets in pub can be used during opening hours. Friendly cosy pub serving home cooked food also available for take out.

A really characterful family hotel. Formerly Manse to the adjacent Kirk, the superb location, great food and the warmest welcome means this is a gem of a place. Room was comfortable and Met all our needs. If you’re looking for a stop on NC500 this is the best we’ve experienced.

After a long day with most of our party cycling from Lairg we were given a really warm welcome by Karan. The accommodation was really comfortable and modern. We stayed in the cottages and a room in the hotel. We had a great dinner and breakfast provided by Luke. It is a real family team effort which makes for a wonderful experience for their guests. The setting of the hotel is amazing with the beautiful beach and headland on the doorstep for the walkers and swimmers among us. We could not have been happier to be there and all of us would love to go back.

Quaint cottage, well supplied. It would have been nice to have laundry soap for the washing machine because I didn’t realize we’d have a cottage with laundry machine available. Restaurant was excellent. Dinner an extra cost but delicious. Don’t miss the sticky toffee pudding. We had fish and chips and steak pie. Breakfast was included in the cost and it was also excellent. The beach was a short walk away and so beautiful. Tucked away into a private cove, you don’t want to kiss this.

From the first telephone conversation with Luke I was impressed by his helpful charm. He greeted us warmly when we checked in and then left us in the very capable hands of Ryan, whose talents extend from receptionist to cocktail barman and from waiter to tour guide. He was like a whirlwind, so efficient and effective that he managed to serve the entire dining room with food and drinks , seemingly effortlessly, and with great charm and personality. Sadly, we had only booked in for one night but will definitely return. The room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable and the food at dinner and breakfast was supeb. A huge thanks.
