At first I was a bit sceptical with the lack of reviews for the chalet and the host's request to leave earlier than planned. BUT, a huge BUT! The place is superb. So happy we spent a whole week there. The nature around is magnificent, there so many things to see. The host Mary is very nice, helpful and easy to communicate with. Always ready to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The chalet itself is roomy and very clean, cozy as if you are at home. The internet connection was dropping from time to time, but as general was very good. There is a PlayStation (bring your own games) and Netflix. Definitely will visit again! Next time will book dirctly thru skichaletsatpamporovovillage.com to save on the commission and fees. The host Mary refunded us for early checkout + sent a small gift for my mum's birthday that we celebrated there. So kind of her <3 Highly recommend the chalet- it is a hidden gem!…
We spent Christmas and New Year's Eve in Pamporovo. We loved the house, it was very comfortable and clean. It is located in a forest, about 2km from the main road and about 3.5-5km from the sky slope. It has a large living room at the ground floor with a nice fireplace, a fully equipped kitchenette and a toilet. The first floor has two bedrooms, two large bathrooms and a balcony. We had a large smart TV in the living room and a PS4, and an older flat-screen TV in the master bedroom. We had good WiFi Internet connection about 90% of the time we stayed there. Although we didn't meet our host face to face, communication was great and she made sure we have everything we need for a great holiday. We will definitely come back.
My Family and I have just returned from a week's stay at Pamporovo Village, there was 7 of us in total, 5 adults and 2 children. We rented 2 chalet's next door to each other for our stay and we found the whole experience fantastic. The Chalets were clean and spacious, it was like a home from home, we enjoyed many relaxed evenings with a glass of wine in front of the log fire, all whilst looking at beautiful surrounding of the mountains. We were very lucky with the weather as we had plenty of snow for our stay, the locals were amazing, they couldn't do enough for us, they were even picking us up and dropping us back home from our favourite restaurant 'Free of Charge'. Mary & Frances the Chalet owners were amazing, they helped us arrange everything, every step of the way from transfers to ski hire, which made the whole experience stress free and enjoyable. We're hoping to return again next year and will definitely looking to hire the chalets again. Thank you so much for making our holiday perfect, Jenna & family :-)…
As part of a group of 10 friends (booked 2 chalets), I experienced the Pamporovo Village chalets for 3 nights. For the following reasons I overall was disappointed with the quality of service. First, while the chalets themselves appeared to be comparatively new and in good shape, throughout our 4 day stay (30.12 - 02.01) twice the hot-water system did not work and light bulbs broke. Especially as our group mostly had to wait longer than 24h for the repair service, this influenced our overall experience. Second, the heating systems of the houses are insufficient in terms of capacity, which results in you buying extra wood for the chimney (BGN 10 per bag). To be fair, our group experienced very low temperatures of 20 degrees below zero, but even at temperatures around zero, we could never reach an acceptable indoor temperature. Lastly and probably most importantly, the staff (led by Mrs. Petya Rizova) never seemed to really care about our problems and feedback, which resulted in long waiting hours before someone fixed the problems we experienced (if they fixed them at all, as with the light bulbs). On a few occasions (e.g. check-in and check-out) they even switched to a rather rude communication style, which is clearly unacceptable. All in all, while the chalets themselves can certainly do the job (though they are far from perfect), the experience we had with the houses and especially with the staff would make me NOT recommend the chalets to any of my friends. Pamporovo can certainly offer a lot more...…
