Stayed in a room for 1 night. Will return as so beautiful. Lovely view including am ancient water wheel. Glass enclosed passageway outside the room fully air-conditioned and /or heated. Some original architecture, church, wine barrels, staircases. Restaurant served lovely local food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff.

First the good news - this is a lovely hotel, with comfortable rooms [though our rooms on the second floor under the eaves were uncomfortably hot the aircon wasn't butch enough to cope] a pleasant bar and interesting restaurant. The setting is quiet and the Monasterio beautiful and visits are free to guests. The bad news - the grounds were... More

The hotel is centered in an old monaster and looks a lot like the parador chain in Spain but this is owned by the regional government. The place itself is wondefull but because of the lack of visitors it looks abondoned. This is really a shame because nature is wonderfull overhere and there are really some nice activities to do... We looked on the Internet and hotel web site before booking and looked amazing. So booked for a week. We arrived late at night and there were no outside lights so was pitch black!!! The room was ok but bed was thin and lumpy. No air con !!! The next morning I took a walk and was astonished at the... More

This is a lovely concept let down by neglect. We stayed overnight. Lovely room. Clean, not too small and elegant. The staff helpful despite having little English. Then again, I have little Spanish. No restaurant, bar or coffee available, a problem given its solitary location remote from major centres. We had to drive to local village and eat good simple... More

This former Monastery was converted only a few years ago. There are not many rooms but they are done tastefully and comfortably, with flat screen TV and aircon. Its in a very quiet location, good for the monks and those who wish to contemplate but it does mean you have to travel a distance for anything else - but don't... More

Used this hotel 3 times now as part of an organised motorcycle tour with MSL Tours, always found it ideal. Nothing around it, nothing else to do, great for an overnight stop en route through Spain. Rooms are very good, food is excellent, surroundings are like nothing else, make time for a walk around the Monastery. Very large G&T's.

This was such an amazing place to stay in August coming from Barcelona and the Costa Brava. If you fancy getting away from the hordes for some serious peace and quiet and R&R come here (though check in advance if there is a wedding as I imagine that could be less peaceful). Although the area may not be the obvious... More

Drove here from Barcelona after a long flight. Beautiful location and felt quite remote. Enjoyed the pool and the countryside. Great stop to refresh which was the reason we chose this location. Did not eat here but the menu looked interesting. Service was very kind.

The Monastery of Rueda has been turned into a 4-star hotel that is very classy and well-maintained. It includes a fine restaurant that is present in the Michelin Dining Guide, and the quality of food and service there meets the expectations. Staying at is hotel is living in a monument, whose historical parts can be visited as part of the... More
