Rob and Mel were friendly and informative hosts. The camping pitch was very good with every item that we needed. The location was very nice , quiet and restful but within easy reach of several shops and with good transport links too.

Lovely peaceful campsite, great for back to basics, with friendly owners. The goats are delightful 💕 and the little honesty shop is very useful. Compost loos and covered picnic tables at each pitch are very handy. We'd certainly come back.

Most tranquil site we have ever visited. What a gem, peaceful, huge pitches, each with their own firepit, compost loo and undercover picnic bench. Cute little honesty shop with almost anything you could want, and an owner who cannot do enough to help or make people feel at ease. And all at a sensible campsite price, not a glamping rip off. We will be back very soon- the Children didn't want to leave!

Rob and Mel welcomed us to Wild Cherry with open arms. Genuinely lovely people who own and run this fabulous eco camp site. We arrived in the rain but it didn’t affect our arrival, Mel came out and showed us round the site and to the Coppice where we stayed. Our pitch had a bell tent with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, covered bench, fire pit and compost toilet. We couldn’t recommend this pitch enough. It was so clean and had everything we needed. The site itself is beautiful with its fields, wood, wild flowers and of course the resident goats, pigs, sheep, geese and turkeys. Our boys made friends with all the animals and they loved adventuring round the woods, rolling down the hills and we took some lovely walks with our dog. Up towards the main house is the shower block and separate flushable toilet, both were super clean and that’s down to Mel and Rob constantly checking and cleaning - they work so hard! The honesty shop is super cute. Reasonably priced essentials such as logs, milk, beans etc and some treats too such as iced coffee, milkshakes, sweets and ice creams. Do not hesitate to book this place, it’s an absolute gem where you can get back to nature and recharge. Thank you guys for having us, we hope to see you again soon. Debbie, Craig & boys.

We stayed on Sparrow pitch in a large 5m bell tent. Welcomed and shown to our pitch by the owners and given some pointers on where to find different amenities and tips about the site. A sweet and friendly couple. Who clearly love what they do 😊 The pitch was a good size and each pitch was spaced out so you didnt feel to close together but wasnt so far that you couldnt say a hello to your neighbour should you wish. We had a composting toilet on our pitch so didn't have to walk up to the main shower and toilet. Which was a fantastic addition at night time. We also had a seating area with canope on our pitch which was good for games and food. We also had a fire pit. It's a real get back to nature place. Our kids loves the goats and other farm animals surrounding us. The site is in a lovely quiet location. We went as a large group 5 adults (Us, Grandparents & Aunt), our 3 children and our 3 dogs. There are some lovely places to walk nearby and the campsite was lovely just to relax and unwind. There is an honesty shop on site packed with alsorts of goodies and treats you may have forgotten as well which is very useful. You can pay by cash, If you've not got cash you can IOU for them to take from your billing card or they also have an app you can use to pay on. Lots to choose from. Cons : There were very few if anything I'd have to pick to find fault so well done Wild Cherry Camping 😊. The phone and WiFi signal could be an issue for some (it wasn't for us we wanted the quiet). The composting toilets are a great alternative but may not be to everyone's taste. However the toilet further up site is flushable so you do have an option if it isn't for you. All in all a perfect place to escape your day to day life and recharge!

Fantastic stay at Wild Cherry Camping! The hosts are lovely and very welcoming. The facilities are very good - Every pitch has a compost toilet, picnic bench, shelter and fire pit. Showers are well positioned and close by to all the pitches. There is a small honesty shed selling logs, snacks and other essentials for a fair price. The location is perfect, surrounded by nature and wildlife. We can’t wait to visit again! 10/10!

We've just returned from a lovely camping trip at Wild Cherry Camping and can't recommend it highly enough. We were greated by Rob shortly after arriving who was very welcoming and left us to settle in. There were three pitches in the same field with lovely views of woodland, wildlife and farm animals nearby. Each pitch was clean, tidy, and has a firepit, food preparation area and composting toilet. Communal kitchen, shower and toilet facilities are available both in the field and back up at the car park where all vehicles are kept. There's a great honesty shop near the carpark with a fridge and feeezer available for guest use. The honesty shop includes lollipops, fresh milk, local freerange eggs, etc. If you're after a quiet, eco-friendly experience with good local amenities and friendly hosts then I recommend you consider Wild Cherry Camping.

Brilliant stay, would return in a heartbeat. Peaceful location, plenty of privacy, own compost loo, clean showers/washing-up area, sweet honesty shop, attentive but not overbearing owners and cute sheep. Couldn't have askes for more!

We absolutely adore wild cherry campsite. This was our third visit and most certainly won’t be out last. 10 adults and 11 children all had a fantastic time. We can’t fault any part of our three night stay. The setting is wonderful for adults who want to sit and chill around the fire pits and equally great for the children who can run wild around the large field. The toilets and shower blocks are great. The small shop on site with an honesty box is a life saver. The hosts Mel and Rob are brilliant and very helpful they couldn’t do enough for us. We will be back again next year and we all can’t wait.
