An excellent and dog friendly hotel, where we spent a most enjoyable couple of nights. The food and accommodation were both of a very high standard.

We arrived late on the first evening of our two night stay but were made to feel welcome straight away. Nothing was too much trouble. The room and all facilities were very clean and well presented. Food was excellent and all the staff made us feel at home. Lovely walks along the river and I'm sure that the gardens are...

We only had a nights stay here but we wished it was longer. We arrived before our check-in time but was told by Ricardo that our room was ready where in fact we had be upgraded to one of the suite and that was a wonderful surprise . The suite was excellent had a separate small lounge with sofa and...

The Trout has brilliant food (varied menu, great local produce and fab quality, with good wines to match; breakfast was an equal delight!). The service we received was great, attentive and thoughtful to both dogs and humans. The surrounding area offered long walks along the Thames as well as villages and towns in the vicinity if you are looking for...

When you arrive you are charmed but the Cotswold brick and pretty building. You walk in hoping there would be more of a 'quaint pub' but there are just 2 comfy chairs and the rest is taken over by the restaurant. We were greeted by friendly staff and when shown to our room, my first reaction was that this was...

I stayed here in December with my son & DIL and my dog. I was delighted by the exterior appearance as we arrived and entered a cosy, friendly atmosphere to check in. I cannot fault the staff. So friendly, happy, helpful, chatty and all in all great service. The dog was made very welcome. My room was excellent. The food...

I loved this place! The pub/inn is incredibly cute and atmospheric. The rooms were lovely - beautifully furnished with good quality linen and sheets. We scored an amazing deal on a Sunday night - essentially if you spend £60 in the restaurant including alcohol you get your room for £40. And this then also includes breakfast. We had no trouble...

We used to make a point of including the Trout in our plans when visiting the UK, but last year it was taken over, "renovated", and the chef left. So what was a real pub with vintage character is now a very pretty pub with no character. More seriously the cooking, that used to be varied and delicious, is tragic....

I had to be in the locality of the Trout Inn - but was slightly concerned by some earlier TripAdvisor reviews. From the moment I arrived, I couldn't have been looked after better - both the bar service and the restaurant service were friendly and efficient. My dinner was outstanding (beetroot cured trout/roast guinea fowl) - excellent quality, and superb...
