Unfortunately we only stayed here one night and I would have been happy to stay longer. Roger and Leonie were very helpful and accommodating. We stayed in the family suite which met our requirements. The lodge is in easy walking distance to the beach.

We felt at home at Gekko. We arrived early, but nothing was too much trouble for Roger and Leonie. We parked our car, went off to a place they recommended for breakfast and when we returned we were allowed to choose which room we preferred. We went for the old world charm of the antique/colonial style room which was very...

Thanks so much for making my stay unforgettable. From the minute I arrived, till the time I drove out the drive-way. This morning I woke at home and the first thing I missed was the awesome breakfast. I will definitely return !

The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Roger (1 of our hosts) even washed our windows before we left after travelling on all the dirt roads. They also gave us guidance on where to go in and around Coffee Bay and sent us detailed instructions on how to get there without damaging the car...

We travelled from Johannesburg to Coffee Bay and Roger sent us notes to explain road conditions, dos and don'ts and what to expect which turned out to be very very accurate. The property as such is basic and clean. We felt comfortable. Roger was extremely helpful and provided excellent information about the area, roads, attractions, eateries. Also Roger and his...

We stayed over for two nights and we wished we could stay longer. The owners were very nice and helpful. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone traveling to Coffee Bay, the service was exceptional. It is value for money and we will definitely be going back.

Not impressed with Coffee Bay as such but we had to stay over after a long drive from Rhodes. We had checked on Tripadvisor reports for the area & the best review was Gecko B & B .. all the positive reports are true What makes ones stay is the hospitality of the host & the husband & wife team...

Geckos was the best memory of Coffee Bay, an area that was a bit disappointing with the roads, weather and facilities. Leonine and Roger were perfect hosts. The room was comfortable, the surroundings peaceful and breakfast was outstanding. Sadly, no wifi, but for a short stay that was not a problem I highly recommend this guest house.

After a ride where you need to concentrate (potholes, children, animals on the road) you enter a different world. When visiting the wild coast, you need to stay in coffee bay, and "Gecko guest house" is just a "must book". Roger & Leonie are 2 wonderfull people who love and enjoy life in their way, and they help you with...
