We visited the resort as a sleepover from our trip to Mozambique. When entering the gate one can see the gardens and everything else is immaculately maintained which already indicated we would have a great stay. We ended up with one more guest than we booked for in our group of four families and they quickly sorted it out by...

This was our 2nd trip to KRC & it was fabulous as always. The owners are so special, they went out of their way to accommodate us in the room we wanted. Very clean & comfortable. Home away from home. Relaxing place & staff friendly. Fishing excellent, thank you to Richard (owner) who took my husband on a fishing trip,...

We stayed at Komati River Chalets for 4 nights and had a fantastic time. The facilities were clean (air con worked very well which was the most important), staff and owners friendly and the location very good. Awesome fishing trip with Richard and will definitely be back for more tiger!

We spent a night here on the 29th October 2016. Chalet accommodation, well appointed, clean and comfortable. Very good value for money. A great birding location, African Finfoot female, White-browed Robin Chat, Scarlet-chested Sunbird, Thick-billed Weaver and African Green Pigeon photographed in the grounds on the riverside trail. I will be back.

Nice, large clean room. Huge fridge so great for coming through the border with cooler boxes! About 5 mins from the border so great for early morning crossings. Nice setting, safe parking. Will stay here again.

We stayed here on our way home from Tofo to Johannesburg. It was a lovely peaceful haven after dealing with a long drive and hectic border post! Our beds were comfortable and we had aircon and a small television. Plus everything you need to self cater for a night or two.

We stayed for about 3 maybe 4 days and found something to do everyday. Archery,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Komati River Chalets is nestled on the confluence of the Komati and Crocodile Rivers in the Southern Kruger Park region of Mpumalanga’s wild frontier. Situated on 12 acres of Komati river front wilderness ensures that this is one of the regions premier country estates. The famous Kruger National Park, Crocodile bridge gate is a mere 12km from the lodge and the sweet veld grasses of the South Eastern Kruger National Park ensure that this is arguably the best game viewing area of the entire park as vast herds of plains game and predators alike are attracted to the spoils of this pristine area. Both Mozambique and Swaziland are but a stone throw from Komati River Chalets providing the perfect base from which to explore both exotic destinations. Set above the flood plain of the Komati River, the restaurant, bar and pool facilities, and the individual chalets are no more than fifty meters from the water’s edge where pods of hippos and an array of spectacular bird life will entertain for hours on end. The attention to detail and hands on management style of this family owned property ensure that Komati River Chalets is the ideal destination for the adventurous traveller. ... more   less
