It was a great stay at the lodge. The view from the dining area and the backyard is just incomparable to anywhere. The food was very nice and generous size. We stayed as a group for four nights and no complains. The staff were helpful in getting from the airport and whenever we needed the lift. Rooms are decent size, not fancy but nice to stay. Thanks, Kerry and Clinton.

Joy is infectious when other guests are swapping fishing stories over a selection of the day’s catch for dinner. Mud crabs, barramundi and numerous other fish were served in sumptuous platters every night. One morning local guides James and Lenny took us out fishing, passing sandy beach, mangroves and estuaries. Before the heat set in, we stopped at a shady area on a pristine sandy beach where James showed us how to cook our mud crabs and fish over a fire. Clearwater Island Lodge is a wonderful place to stay, is clean and comfortable in a wilderness setting. Rooms are air-conditioned but I liked to relax in the spacious living room with TV, fans, couches and an array of photos, sculptures, paintings, and Tiwi treasures. A coffee machine offers quality coffee at any time of the day and a cold beer is a treat in the late afternoon. Kerri and Linton are generous and natural hosts; they put their heart into everything they do. Apart from the infamous fishing attractions, unparalleled sunsets and birthplace of AFL champions; Pirlangimpi is home to the wonderful artists of the Munupi Arts Centre. Thank you especially to Paulina, Francesca, Carol, Bernadette, Delores, Theresa, Josephine, Donna, Simplicia and Ossie for being so welcoming. Be sure to cover up to be cool. Bring light long-sleeved shirts and pants for sun protection during the day and for comfort on warm nights in the open living areas.

Was lucky enough to spend another 3 days at Clearwater Island Lodge. What an experience! Had a warm welcome from host Kerri followed by an delicious meal of fresh Barramundi, stir fry and salad. The fishing was excellent (as always) and our guide Lynton has the gift of putting us on fish with ease, he also gave me some invaluable tips about how and where to present lures for each of the targeted fish. Cannot wait to get back there and make more memories! 10/10

Sailing past with family and stayed at the Clearwater Island Lodge. Outstanding hosts and food. Can’t stop raving about the hospitality offered by Michael, Kerri and the family. Such a beautiful location with more to offer than just awesome fishing, but that was of top quality as well Dinner was absolutely outstanding and we have to apologise to Kerri and Michael for our out of tune sing along to ‘My island home’. #noregrets. Not my first time at the lodge, and won’t be the last either. Very unique part of the world.

From the moment you arrive Michael and Kerri make you extremely welcome, with no request ever a problem, it is all about giving you a fishing holiday of a lifetime. And once you meet the Fishing Guides and you start fishing it really is the fishing holiday you can only dream of as the Guides know all the best spots to catch fish. The fishing is just magnificent in the estuaries and rivers, catching so many different species of the area, and bringing home the largest barramundi, mangrove jacks and mud crabs that are then cooked into a seafood feast for dinner. As an added bonus you get to see crocodiles in there natural environment and some even close up if they decide to attach one of your freshly caught fish as you are reeling them in. A very highly recommended fishing trip for both the novice and experienced fishers.

Michael and Kerri are fantastic hosts and they have a great team of experienced and friendly guides that are very patient and helpful for every level of fishing expertise. Equipment and Boats are very good and well maintained. The meals at dinner made to order from your catch of the day are amazing and include Barramundi and Mud Crab. Highly recommended !

For those considering a trip to Clearwater Island Lodge I can highly recommend it. I have just had 5 amazing days at Clearwater with two of my mates and it certainly exceeded all expectations. Amazing fishing both creek and blue water mixed in with magnificent scenery, wildlife and guides who know all the hot spots and take you wherever you want. You are well looked after from the moment you arrive and the food is magnificent.. There is a strong sense of family pride at Clearwater Island Lodge and a I can't wait to return next year. Amazing Experience.

By far the best trip I have been on in my life. The team at Clearwater we’re amazing and very accomodating. My best guess is over 200 fish of all types of species. Barra ,jacks, queenies,gt,threddies, snapper, gropper, all types of estuary Trevally ,mud crabs....Our guide josh made every effort to put us onto fish which he did. Then there was the food.. The freshest seafood possible cooked to perfection and served in the most beautiful location ever. ( in my opinion) Don’t forget the fully stocked bar with the coldest beer in town. So in short- world class fishing in a world class location with unbelievable food and cold beer... 10/10 from me.
