My husband and I dropped in for a spot of lunch, on a rare day off. We were met by a very warm welcome by a lovely lady, in a lovely clean, smart establishment. We ordered fish and chips, one gluten free! No problem with that, food arrived beautifully presented, hot, tasty and very sizable portions, for the price! Great selection of drinks at the bar, fantastic views from our table. Looking forward to another day off! See you again soon Cambrian Bar&Grill. Thank you 😁 .

Just home from 4 nights in a Motorhome . Easy to book 2 nights on line . Warm welcome on arrival . Bistro bar service and food excellent and totally dog friendly . Showers toilets spotlessly clean . We ended up booking for more nights , everyone was warm and welcoming , food was excellent from the breakfasts to Sunday lunch . We will be back soon .

As a local in Borth, I've not been in Cambrian Coast for many years. Wow, went into the completely refurbished club. Its beautifully done. The food was absolutely brilliant and the staff were so good. Having friends that run it and work there I would like to say thank you so much for a fabulous night. I will definitely return and recommend it. Diolch yn fawr.

My recent experience with this campsite left me utterly disappointed, not only due to their complete disregard for customer concerns but also because of unfulfilled promises. My wife made a call to the campsite regarding a false promise made in May this year, when she first booked. We had been promised that three tents would be located next to each other, as we were coming from three different parts of Wales and don’t see each other for months on end. However, upon arrival, some of our party members were told that this arrangement couldn't be accommodated. They claimed that this was only “subject to availability”, something which was never mentioned previously! This failure to fulfill a basic promise set a negative tone from the start. We were still yet to arrive at the site, so my wife decided to ring them and express her disappointment. The manner in which the reception staff, manager and the owner handled the situation during my wife's phone call was disgusting. Instead of offering assistance and understanding, they displayed a dismissive and disrespectful attitude towards her. Our friends noticed that two tents could potentially go next to each other, so part of the group were together, however when this was suggested they stated that someone else was arriving the day after us. We couldn’t understand her logic, because if there were two free pitches, what difference did it make if we went on that one, the other pitch was still available! Towards the end of the conversion, the owner (shouting down the phone at my wife) shouted “I’ll put you on that pitch then” and the phone call was abruptly terminated. This is completely unacceptable behaviour in any customer service context. We arrived, only to see other groups of tents all set up along side each other. I can only assume they were given spaces next to each other as they were staying longer than us. We spoke to one guy and said he booked a month or so ago. So being told we could be together back in May, to now be told it wasn’t possible displays profit over general courtesy and professionalism. The last night of our stay, a family set up a caravan in front of our friends tent, set up an awning and then proceeded to extend a large wind breaker right in front of the entrance to their tent. Our friend asked if they could move it over to allow them room to go in and out of their tent and the guy said he’d do it later. Later, he set up a bbq and started cooking, clearly had no intention of moving it. Our friends complained to the camp site, because clearly they had gone way over their boundary. The guy with the caravan seemed very arrogant and was even quite racist, as when our friends spoke in their first language of Welsh, to each other, as they always do (and we’re in Wales!) he shouted “they’re speaking foreign”! Foreign!!?? We’re in our own country!! The camp site didn’t attend until the next day, after our friends had already packed up and left. All this aside, the bar was nice enough, the bar staff were friendly, food was typical for a campsite and the toilets and shower block was always spotless. No lighting on tent field so very dark, and nest to marshland so millions of midges! The tent pitches however, seem to have a layer of earth and grass on top of concrete (or so it seems), so expect to bend lots of tent pegs. I sincerely hope the campsite management takes these issues seriously and works on improving their customer service, and communication. And most of all don’t promise things that you’re not willing to fulfil.

Wonderful views, great quiet pitch for our family tent. Close to toilets and other facilities that we needed. Close to some lovely beaches and a great dog friendly beach. The pool is well maintained and staff friendly. All in all we have had a lovely weekend get away.

We’ve stayed in a private caravan but eaten in the restaurant several times during the week for lunch and evening meals. The food was really nice but the bar staff were fantastic. Very helpful and professional would 100% recommend

After arriving at Parkdean Brynowen with 2 children to be told there was no accommodation for us, we were in a bind. It was Good Friday so obviously a busy day. I called and spoke to Maisie who said she would call me back. True to her word, she rang back in 5 minutes to say there was a caravan was available. It was a bit expensive but my relief was immense! The caravan was ready at 3pm as promised and it was a beautiful caravan and very clean. It was by the children's play area that was very well maintained. The swimming pool was slightly cool but again very clean and well kept. The jacuzzi was lovely. We didn't expect any entertainment but there was a talent show in the bar on the Saturday which my daughter entered and came third. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there. The shop was also very reasonably priced for a shop on a holiday park. Thank you for rescuing our Easter break

After a couple of visits over the Easter weekend I can describe the place is organised chaos. Bar staff are a complete shambles that don’t have a clue how to run a bar. A real shame as a lot of money has been invested in Cambrian over the years, it’s also a real shame they didn’t go the extra mile and sort out the toilets as the gents is repulsive, the stench is stomach churning. After spending £150 plus today on Sunday lunch and drinks I’ve left bitterly disappointed, very very average but tbh I doubt they even realise it. The Sunday lunch was really poor, the roast was actually well presented and of good quality and quantity. It was just ruined by gravy that was like hot water in taste and texture. The whole meal was swimming in watery gravy. Great shame, the place is lovely and I’m sure with a little effort could be good.

Went for Sunday Roast and found the food very disappointed. Luke Warm food and very little in the way of vegetables. Gravy was like liquidly, and poor choice of vegetables. We paid nearly £14 for one course. The only veg that was hot was the mash potatoes. I expected more for that price.

Top class - this business goes the extra mile. Nothing too much trouble to meet any additional needs. Used in past for children’s swim party and today a lovely family time in pool followed by a first class Sunday roast. Even plated up a takeaway for absent family member. So delighted to have them on our doorstep. Highly recommended.
