The accommodation here is comfortable and good value. The house is decorated very tastefully and is clean and welcoming. Breakfast is served at the pub a few doors down the road. It is only a short walk from Number Fifty into Penryn where there are cafes, a museum and the water front with a working boatyard. It is a good place to stay.

The townhouse is located down a quiet side street close to the centre of Penryn, we picked up the keys from the Thirsty Scholar pub a few doors down from the accommodation where we were given a warm welcome from the landlady. The accommodation itself is well decorated with a fresh feel, the room consisted of a decent sized bedroom which was well furnished and very clean and a good sized shower room which again was fresh and clean. Parking is on street outside of the accommodation and although no spaces are reserved we had no problem in finding a suitable space. There are good public transport links with the local station a few doors away and regular bus services that serve the Truro/Falmouth areas. Breakfast is served in the pub, we had the full English and this was well cooked with quality ingredients, service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the person that served us. Overall a great little place for a short break and for exploring Penryn and the wider Fal estuary area, highly recommended.

We stayed here while visiting the university and the owners totally customised our stay, from breakfast to dinner, even offering us a ride to campus!!! The venue is as quaint and authentic as it gets yet comfortable to modern standards. A short walk will take you through historic Penryn right down to the water side.

Came on business and found this wonderfully quant and private accommodation. The pub food a few doors down was great and the staff all very friendly when I needed them. If you are looking for an extremely comfortable bed and a very quiet place to stay than this is a great option.

We stayed here unexpectedly as Thirsty Scholar having a refit. It was splendid, lovely views, comfortable bed, so warm & cosy. Great decor. We had the best breakfasts at Scholar and Zina our hostess could not have been kinder. Highly recommended

Stayed here one night & it’s a beautiful, tastefully decorated two room house with a kitchen & small sitting area downstairs & two rooms upstairs. My bedroom, number two was spacious & beautiful with a large en suite shower room. With a minibar, it overlooked the street & so traffic was audible during the day but didn’t disturb my sleep at night. I was not greeted with any warmth when I arrived to pick up the keys at the pub ten doors down, even though it was pouring with rain, and I had a lot of luggage. Later, when I turned up for a drink & dinner at the pub, (you get a 10%discount) service was adequate but perfunctory. No enquiries about how my stay was going, no offer of an umbrella, or anything else. This isn’t essential but would have been nice to have. I had emailed via booking.com to ask for an early check in but didn’t get a reply. When I rang up, an early check in was easily arranged. The minibar was a nice touch and on the whole I had a nice pleasant comfortable stay but a bit more warmth would have taken it up a notch

My wife and I booked into this lovely B and B and thought it was lovely. Beautiful contemporary room and a lovely breakfast was included. I do think however, even though the pub is close where you check in and eat breakfast. If it was raining it would have been a pain to walk there.

Very small townhouse hotel done to a smart, contemporary standard. Very clean! No reception however. You need to pick up keys from the pub down the road which I did not find particularly welcoming. Breakfast is served there too. No parking. It is on street...if you can find a space, otherwise a public car park. Wi-Fi is free which is good but the room was small and not equipped for a business trip. Bed mattress was cheap and uncomfortable and if you're at the front of the hotel, there can be a lot of traffic noise. It tries hard to be a cut above the rest for, essentially, a b&b but doesn't quite live up to it's rather high and puzzling score on sites like Booking.com. It is OK but not much more.

Clean and modern B&B in the main street of Penryn. Owner is the same as Pub owner, so breakfast is served in the pub, very well rganised. Parking is a bit difficult but downhill is a free parking. Not so easy though if you are a bit bad on foot, but drop off is possible. Beware of parking in the street as spaces sometimes are only untill 9 in the morning.

Room Tip: there are two rooms at number fifty: the front and the back. We would prefer the backside.

Wow what a place; so pleased I found this gem 💎 and will be sure to come on a pleasure trip next time. Friendly welcome, privacy but a great view and space to relax. Quiet but a short walk to the harbour with fish 🐟 & chips 🍟 enroute! I’ll be back ☺️
