We didn't stay in the hotel but visited the Arab baths which were amazing. When we arrived, we asked for a massage along with the baths, but were told that you had to book in advance. We were a little disappointed but went to the baths anyway. We were the only two people there which was wonderful. About half way... More

The Spa is worth the trip, set in caves and very pleasant. The hotel is used for weddings and so can be quite noisy but the oddest thing is the wait for the breakfast service to begin in the morning. Even locals drove up and left disappointed as we waited outside for the doors to open. Authentic, basic hotel that... More

Staff are friendly enough, no complaints there. The location is remote but lovely. We arrived and were offered one of the cave rooms as the hotel appeared to be closed. From the outside it looked lovely. We took it and regretted it - we should have cancelled the booking and found somewhere else to stay immediately. The sheer smell of... More

We really enjoyed our one night in Zaida (one of the cave rooms) at el Ventorro. I would love to have stayed longer. The staff were very friendly, though most of them do not speak much English. Also, while there, we booked a session in the baths (Los Banos Arabes) and a massage each. It was a wonderful way to... More

The restaurant at El Ventorro has been one of our favourites for years, and we've reviewed it before. This time we went to the banos arabes for the first time - dug out of the hillside, behind the restaurant, along with several cave-style apartments. And the banos were excellent, though fairly small. There's a large warm central pool with a... More

Great place. We went for New Years Eve in a party of 3 couples. After checking into our cave rooms (fabulous!) we decided to take a walk through the gorge to the village for lunch. It's a super walk with wonderful scenery. When we got back to the hotel we decided to go to the Arab baths....absolutely lovely. SO relaxing...and... More

Stayed here twice in last two years on motorcycle trips with friends. Its in a beautiful location and agreat place to hang out. Restaurant and bar are great. The springs inside the hill next door are quite unique and well worth a visit. Only downside for us was the disco-I like to go to bed at a reasonable time but... More

Everything was great there, from the rooms in the caves in perfect arabic style, to the arabic bath attached to the rooms, to the fantastic food in the restaurant. Really super! There are also many possibilities to go for nice walks in the mountains. Well done!

We were really looking forward to staying in this place based on the reviews here. In the event we were very disappointed. The room in the "cave" had an air of gloom, which was heightened by the fact that the bathroom basin tap was seized solid and that there was no hairdryer. We were offered a different room, which we... More

We've eaten at El Ventorro many times and it never disappoints. The restaurant inside is low-ceilinged and traditional, and bigger than it looks. If the weather's hot it's nicer to eat outside though, on the v unpretentious patio. The food's great - huge portions, lots of local specialities, quick & friendly service, not expensive - and there are always lots... More
