Comfortable spacious room and bathroom. Good dining room and excellent dinner. Parador is outside the town and easily accessed from the autoroute. Spacious grounds, plenty of parking and a garage. A good stopping place on the journey north from Andalucia.

Fantastic hotel, clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Food is good, staff are friendly, plenty of hot water, warm floors feels like home. If the weather is good there are amazing grounds around the hotel children would love to explore.

We have stayed here several times before. It is a perfect stop over from the south of Spain to Santander. Only about half a mile off the Ruta de Plata it is well signposted and set in woodland. Not a typical converted monastery or castle but this Parador has style, comfort and a traditional Spanish decor and ambience. There is... More

Sadly this Parador is looking a little run down. The room we had was quite small. (We used this Parador in the 1980's for overnight stays on our way south or into Portugal and were always happy. ) The two female reception staff seemed a little confused, although one did take or bags to our room for us without asking.... It was a glorious sunny hot day in September. The pool was closed which is unbelievable in this day and age. We asked to use the sunbeds which were piled outside. We were treated as naughty children and told we could not use them....... in no uncertain terms!

I was disappointed about my stay ... not what the parador hotel used to be . The food was not good at all with poor service - they only speak in spanish which did not help to order - 41 euros for a menu including slice of cheese , grapes as a starter , one slice of black pudding and... More

A very nice place to stay on the way from Santander to Portugal. This is at least the fifth time I have stayed there and the experience in all aspects has been uniformly good. Its location is particularly helpful, with direct access to the local motorways.

This must be one of the best Paradors we have visited. Staff were friendly, quick and efficient. Food excellent, not too exotic with something for everyone. Even the bar staff provided a quick service. In a beautiful location.

The Parador is now 50 years old - and it shows in many ways. The fixtures and fiurnishings are not very well- maintained so the general feel is a bit shabby and down-at-heel. Regular rooms are small by today's standard and the double beds likewise. The place also seemed understaffed (nobody to help with luggage, bar and restaurant staff stressed... More

We used the this pleasant Parador as a stop over on our way back to the ferry. The welcome was not as enthusiastic as sometimes, but perfectly acceptable. We've noticed that the warmth varies highly, depending on who is on duty. They kindly gave us our favourite room and it was a pleasure to have your luggage carried to the... More
