My stay at Albatross Hotel was excellent. The accommodation was spotlessly clean upon arrival and was thoroughly cleaned each day. The room was quiet, spacious, with air conditioning and a lovely, private balcony. The complementary buffet breakfast served each day in the shady garden was delicious. There was a generous array of fresh pastries, breads, cereals, fruits, meats, cheeses and more. Tea, coffee and juices were also in plentiful supply. The beach which is only a two minute walk away has crystal clear waters to swim in and a range of cafes and restaurants close by. Thanks to the staff of the Albatross who were terrific.

We arrived on Paros after a delay due to a ferry strike late at night. From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty by Stella and her staff. The accomodation is above the usual Greek standard of decor and the rooms were decorated in lovely contemporary colours. For self catering the rooms even had a mini bar which was reasonably priced. The grounds were beautifully looked after by the gardener who always greeted you with a welcoming smile.
Days were spent lying by the lovely pool area where there was always a breeze to help keep the temperature down a little.
will we go back? definitely and hopefully in 2005.

My wife and i recentley returned from our fifth holiday, at the Albatross Hotel in Lagaross, Paros. We find ourselfs looking at many other destinations for our annual holiday, but are always drawn back to Paros, due to the beautiful surroundings and the excellent location of the hotel. The excellent service and cleanliness of the staff and rooms, that we have found with each visit. make it a lovely holiday. The manageress (Stella) we have found to be very friendly and accommadating to every need, whilst staying at her wonderful hotel. For example if your room has been booked on the upper level of the hotel and you have problems with the stairs, Stella will do all she can to get you moved into a ground floor room for your own comfort and ease for the duration of your hoilday, if there is a room available. So you can see why we love returning to what we think is an oasis in Paros year after year.

This is my first review for Tripadvisor and what better way than to start with a hotel that my wife and I have stayed in for the last nine years.
We have stayed in many five star hotels over the last few years in destinations ranging from major european capital cities, US and far eastern destinations but always find the time to come back here. Why?
The Albatross offers in our view a great level of comfort and standard, despite it's three star rating. Stella and her staff always look after us very well, the American style breakfast is always good, and the swimming pool / bar is also good. The rooms are comfortable, well decorated, clean but basic and you can always guarrantee a good night's sleep (most important when you want to wind down on holiday).
The Hotel is situated in Logaras which itself has a "blue flag" beach (only good beaches get this in Greece). There are plenty of other good beaches nearby (walk or drive) and the villages of Logaras and Piso Livadi over the hill (ten minute walk) offer sea views, small bars, restaurants (I recommend Markakis in Logaras) whilst still keeping the tranquil theme. If you want more life, just rent a car and go off to Naoussa or Parikia (both great busy and interesting) - a twenty minute drive to both or just explore the wonderful views that Paros itself has to offer.
This is the place where we re-charge our batteries - try it for yourself.

The Albatross is located on the east side of Paros close to the harbour village of Piso Livadi. A taxi from the ferry port takes about 25 minutes and a bus to the end of the road (a couple of minutes walk away) takes a little longer. The hotel has 36 rooms which are in a number of separate buildings that clustered around the gardens and pool area.

Rooms are simple but impeccably maintained – air conditioning and refrigerator both worked efficiently and quietly. As noted on other reviews, the bathroom in our room was small, but not problematic. Moreover, the rooms are very clean and serviced daily.

The pool and bar area are also well maintained providing a nice environment to relax or swim.

The real pleasure of Albatross comes from the welcome offered by Stella and her team. Nothing was too much trouble – suggestions for places to go, bus timetables, taxi bookings, etc.

5 minutes walk away is the local beach with three taverns – we tried Markakis and Fisilanis, preferring Filisanis. 5 minutes further on brings you to Piso Livadi and a number of other taverns and restaurants. Favourites here were Soiree and Halaris.

Naousa to the north and Parikia to the west both offer a reasonable selection of tourist oriented shopping. Both are easily reachable by the local bus service which we found to be reliable and a generally pleasant way to see a little more of the island.

So, in conclusion, if you are looking for simple but well delivered accommodation near beautiful beaches and close to some great taverns, look no further than the Albatross.

I have stayed in albatross more than five times and I am planning to be there again the forthcoming June! Paros and hotel itself has been significantly changed since the first time I visited it back in the summer of 1992; however, staff professionalism and kindness are still there for you, people are smiling and always helpful! The rooms are traditionally decorated and in pleasant colours and there is service in daily basis. But my favourite part is the pool bar: inspired cocktails, ice coffee, chill-out music, fun by the pool, sunbath, reviewing on what we'have done the previous day and what to do next!
Location...location...location: The first and most important factor to consider when I am about to book a room! Logaras is a small village ideal for resting, there is a sandy beach and the sea is one of the cleanest in Paros! At the same time, it is only 5 minutes walking to Punda beach (famous beach bar) and 10-15 minutes’ drive to Naousa (the main center of the island), Chrysi Akti (watersports) and lovely -but relatively not famous- beaches like "Lolantonis" and "Faraggas"!

Stayed here end of August 2012 and was a return visit having previously stayed in 2005 and the welcome, hospitality and desire for everything to be perfect of Stella the owner has not changed. We were given a choice of rooms and chose a top floor with a big balcony with a sea view and very airy. Totally agree with the earlier review about the location and the local area, only to add that it is worth taking the opportunity to walk the byzantine path, and spend some time exploring the villages of Prodromos and Lefkos at each end. Fantastic traditional greek villages with little squares tucked away.
Really good standard of breakfast and another plus is the provision of pool towels. Pool bar is convenient too and plenty of shade if you want it.
Perfect place for chilling out.

I was lucky enough to stay at the Albatross in Sept 2011. This was the second Greek island my friends and I visited and it was perfect. From the moment we arrived the hotel manager Stella made us feel like we were truly at home. The hotel itself is in a great spot on the island a little away from "downtown" but still perfectly close (walking distance) to some restaurants that are a little less frequented but equally delicious. Every night before heading out we would sit at the hotel bar (also run by Stella) and shoot the breeze about our lives back home and life in Greece. Stella also introduced us to some regulars from France that come every year to visit her and stay at the Albatross. We were even lucky enough to go to dinner with them and share some French/American stories. Overall, can't rate my experience at the Albatross any higher. Great hotel, great people, and great island. Book it today!
