This was our second trip to this hotel having originally staying in July 2022.
We originally had a pool view junior suite but opted to save a bit of money by not having the pool view this time. We had a street view and our apartment was situated above the reception and bar area. This was fine and being on a fairly quiet street we were not troubled by any noise.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The selection of food at breakfast was extensive (a bit of advice - if you like freshly squeezed orange juice ask the serving staff for this at your table otherwise you will have ‘carton juice’.
Our room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Due to environmental considerations, rooms are only cleaned every other day but you can request additional cleaning if required.
The pool area is lovely. There is the usual early morning sun bed reserving that you get at most hotels. The hotel is trying to tackle this by removing towels if sunbeds are not used for an hour after they place a messsge on the beds. We always managed to get a bed when required.
The evening buffet was good. There was always a paella/risotto option, meat, fish and pasta dishes and an extensive salad choice. Desserts were lovely too. There a 3 A La Carte options per week although we missed the first one was we arrived at midnight. We had been left a meat, cheese and bread platter in our room. Also, as returning guests we were given a bottle of cava and some chocolate dipped fruits.
I had a spa treatment (massage) which was very relaxing. I did note however that to use the stream room and sauna you need to give reception 20 minutes notice. I guess this is to reserve energy as the spa didn’t appear to be widely used. I would imagine that it is used more out of season.
I had a brief visit to the gym. There are treadmills, bikes, weights and a few other weighted machines.
Although this is a fairly expensive hotel, I think it is worth paying extra to get the adult only, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Dear Gillian, Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review of your second stay at MarSenses Puerto Pollensa. We are delighted that you chose to return and that your experience met your expectations once again. We’re glad to hear that your decision to opt for a street view room didn’t detract from your stay and that you found the room to be clean, spacious, and comfortable. Your compliments on our breakfast selection and the evening buffet are much appreciated, and we’re happy that you enjoyed the variety of dishes we offer. Thank you also for your understanding regarding our environmental initiative to clean rooms every other day. We’re always happy to provide additional cleaning upon request, and we’re pleased this worked well for you. We're glad that you found the pool area enjoyable and that our efforts to manage sunbed reservations were effective. It’s wonderful to know that you enjoyed your spa treatment and found it relaxing. Your observation about the need to give notice for the steam room and sauna is correct—this is indeed to conserve energy, and we appreciate your understanding. We are especially grateful for your recommendation of our hotel and that you value the adult-only, relaxed atmosphere we strive to maintain. It was our pleasure to welcome you back, and we look forward to your next visit. Warm regards, The MarSenses Team

Fabulous hotel with lovely, friendly staff. Rooms were clean and spacious and staff were cleaning the communal areas throughout the day. Plenty of choice at breakfast and lunch time snacks were tasty. With the beach franchises still not in force in Puerto Pollensa (so no sun beds , unless you hired or bought them, no boardwalks or beach bars available), the pool area was very busy. However, being an adults only hotel, it was still quiet, which was lovely. You could read a book, snooze or just chill and relax. Not sure if it’s always this busy or just busier due to no sun beds being available on the beach. Beds around the pool were being reserved from 6.30am onwards until the hotel requested that no one put towels down until after 7.30am. This was still early but a small improvement. If you didn’t get down to the pool area early, getting beds a little later was difficult. Our friends arranged to hire sun beds for a week and the company delivered to /collected from reception. Hiring 2 beds got you a free parosol and cost circa £30 for the week. It just meant carrying them to and from the hotel. You could also hire from some shops on the sea front.
All in all, we had a fabulous holiday and would recommend this hotel. It is only a short walk to the beach and the staff are so helpful and polite. We’ve been to hotels where the air con is loud or has that foisty smell, not so at the Mar Sensus, you hardly knew it was on. The bed was huge and comfortable. For anyone with mobility issues, a lot of the rooms don’t have a lift so I would suggest trying to book a ground floor room, although staff will help carry your luggage up/downstairs on request.

A great holiday at the Mar senses. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of cava from Carla on reception before being shown to our room. My husband is a fulltime wheelchair user so we had an accessible ground floor room. Although pool facng it was tucked away in the corner. The bathroom had a roll in shower and the hotel can provide shower chairs although we hired one from Majorca hire to make sure it met our needs. The room had great facilities with a little kitchenette if needed. The pool area does get busy with people reserving sunbeds from 7.30am that said it always had a quiet relaxed atmosphere. The hotel had entertainment a few times during our stay which was ok. I think what makes this hotel is the decor, cleandliness and especially the staff. Sonja, Andres, and both Albas in the restaurant and bar were excellent. Breakfasts were delicious with plenry of choice. The evening meals also had plenty of choice with the best desserts we have ever had.
Overall a great stay in a really nice hotel

Well placed hotel, easy access to the beach and promenade with its’ own outdoor pool and jacuzzi, though the water a tad cold! The staff are all friendly, helpful and happy from our warm welcome at reception with a chilled glass of Cava to the hard working bar and restaurant staff. The chef has a few tricks up his sleeve on the buffet, great selection everyday, and a spectacular baked Alaska one evening. I couldn’t fault the hotel except for their ridiculous eco credentials regarding drinking water; which don’t sit well as far as I’m concerned. To be totally eco friendly, tap water should be supplied in jugs.100% sustainable. Instead they sell small glass 500ml of water and have a refill station at reception for 0.75c . I certainly feel I haven’t had enough water this holiday for the effort of two small glasses in each glass 500ml bottle! Dangerous in a hot country so think again about your water policy! I do however understand that not using even paper straws makes a huge difference when you think of millions, but water keeps us alive!

Fantastic staff, welcome drink and fruit on arrival. Clean hotel. Nice pool area although travelled out of season with cloudy weather so did not experience the sunbed issue. Small spa area. Fantastic breakfast with cava which is always a bonus! Downsides- I had asked for a quiet room on the top floor. The room was on the top floor but I could hear everything that was happening next door! I was woken up every day by people going to the toilet and then putting the shower on. They might as well have been in the same room. Complimentary water is in your room in a nice glass jug but isn’t refilled every time they clean and no extra coffee pods are given. We were there 5 nights and had 5 coffee pods between us. They charge 75 cents per half litre to refill water bottles. We had a junior suite with lots of space. The room was clean. Just minor issues with noise and water otherwise would have given 5 stars. The location is also excellent. Near the beach and main square.

Just returned from a long weekend here. We’re expecting a baby this year so booked this hotel as a last minute getaway to relax and enjoy some sun. We found the hotel very relaxing, the facilities are excellent and we spent most days by the pool. Pool towels are provided and we didn’t have any issue finding a lounger (although did note many rude guests were reserving theirs from as early as 7am). The food was good quality and I loved the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. The buffet offered something for most tastes and was constantly topped up. The only night we found a bit tricky was the barbecue as there wasn’t much left in the hot plates whenever we tried to get some meat. It would have been good to have a drink of water included with half board meal.

Our room was in block A and was up two flights of stairs with no lift. The room was clean and had a good walk in shower, but we did feel it was a bit basic and the decor didn’t match the quality of the rest of the hotel. It seems like a lot of care and money has been spent on the interior design of the lobby, bar and restaurant areas (they are beautiful) but this doesn’t transfer across to the rooms.

The biggest positive at MarSenses is that the staff are excellent and seem really happy at work. They are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The location of the hotel is also ideal - we were able to easily reach the beach, the pine walk, the square and the bus station by foot.

We would definitely return here as we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

Pro’s
- Great location, a minute walk to the beach and the pine-walk and there’s lots of restaurants if you are wanting to eat out
- Most staff are friendly and helpful
- Good air conditioning in room
- Good selection of food and drink for lunch, fair prices
- Very clean pool-area

Con’s
Facilities:
- There aren’t enough sun loungers for the number of guests, and you have the problem of people getting up early and reserving beds and then leaving towels on them, leaving them unoccupied for hours at a time. The hotel states they have a policy of putting notices on the beds warning that they will remove belongings if beds are left unoccupied for another hour but this appeared to be rarely enforced
- There's a charge for re-filling your water bottle

Rooms
- The rooms are okay, but there was only one drawer in the open plan wardrobe which wasn’t ideal for storage.
- The SMART TVs aren’t connected to the internet so you can’t access Netflix / streaming services so they function as basic TVs which are temperamental - lack of signal on numerous occasions.
- There is a coffee machine in the room and you are given a few pods on arrival but if you want any more you have to pay for them at reception, which isn’t great, considering how expensive the hotel is.
- The rooms are only cleaned once every other day and even then the bedding isn’t changed; we stayed 11 nights and I think the bedding was changed once, a maximum of twice.
- There also wasn’t a lift for our block which didn’t really bother us but it did mean lugging our suitcases down the stairs on our last day and due to an earlier storm it was very slippy

Food
- Food is generally ok; lunch is good and the staff are helpful and attentive. However, the teatime buffet experience could’ve been better. The hotel specifically states on their website that they cater for those with allergies and provide advice. However, in practice, it felt like we were an annoyance when we inquired about the new dishes of the day — the advice felt a little dismissive, resulting in one us sticking to very plain choices to be safe.

These issues would’ve been okay if it was a 2/3 star hotel as it would’ve been expected. However, it’s an expensive 4 star facility and whilst we enjoyed our holiday overall largely due to the great location, the value for money is poor.

Dear Laura, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay at MarSenses. We truly appreciate your observations as they help us to improve our services. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our prime location, the friendly and helpful nature of our staff, the effective air conditioning, the diverse selection of food and drink at lunch, and the cleanliness of our pool area. Your positive comments are very encouraging. However, we are sincerely sorry to learn about the aspects of your stay that did not meet your expectations. We acknowledge your concerns regarding the sun loungers and the policy for reserving them. Please be assured that we are reviewing this matter to ensure that our enforcement of the policy is more consistent. Additionally, we are looking into the feasibility of offering complimentary water bottle refills to enhance guest convenience. Regarding the room amenities, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the limited storage space, the unconnected SMART TVs, and the additional charge for coffee pods. We are currently assessing ways to address these issues to better meet our guests' needs. We also regret that the cleaning service did not fully meet your expectations and are working on improving our housekeeping procedures to ensure more frequent and thorough room maintenance. Your feedback on the lift situation and the tea-time buffet experience is also invaluable. We are investigating ways to make our facilities more accessible and to enhance our allergy accommodations and overall dining experience. We strive to provide a high standard of comfort and service, and it is disheartening to learn that we fell short during your stay. We appreciate your honest review and will use it to make necessary improvements. Thank you once again for your feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a stay that fully meets your expectations. Kind regards, The MarSenses Team

Don't charge to refill water, don't take plates away when still eating, sort the sunbed situation, if people are putting towels out at 5am, remove them it's very simple, it will stop arguments breaking out. The beach is nicer and more relaxing. Excellent location, 1 minute frin the beach. Very clean, the spa was amazing with an excellent massage. Just please sort out the small things which are annoying. If you are so adamant about recycling, stop charging for water refills!

We have recently spent 3 nights here for our first break away as a couple after having children.

The welcome is Big and a glass of cava on arrival.
The staff here bend over backwards for everyone, nothing is to much trouble they learn what you like and love to chat to you.
They wait on everyone with a smile and excellent service.
The place is spotless clean, the cleaners are up early cleaning and are very thorough.

It is so close to the beach just round the corner lots of lovely cafes/ restaurants you really are spoilt for choice if wanted to go out or if your half board etc.
The beach is lovely, lots of lovely shops and small spars to grab water drinks etc.

We had a room that did not over look the pool, our room faced another hotel which was a family hotel, we actually enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching some of there entertainment. We could lots of children enjoying themselves, we did not mind this however if you was paying for an adult only hotel for the peace and quite you may wish to not be facing that way.

The only thing we felt that could of been improved was when we first got there we decided to head to the pool and we counted over 50 sun loungers that had been reserved and not in use, we did go and ask the reception if there was any others we could use.
They did act on this straight away and asked the life guard to go round, he did place a card on the empty ones saying if you did not return your towel will be removed.
We did find the lifeguard was very selective on this, missed lots and when I mentioned to him why some had been there for 3 hours and not moved he said he didn't like touching peoples items... so if you want to keep your sun lounger it seemed you only had to leave a book or something there, i feel the items should be collected up and left at reception and they then need to collect the items from there. Just seemed selfish of people, someone said to us its lots of cyclists laying their towels going cycling and then coming back to a bed( how true this was I don't know)
This was the only negative for us, as we did go to relax by the pool.
Food is amazing lots of choice, nice to have the choice of the al a carte one night and buffet other nights.

Just returned from a 10 night stay with our 20 year old daughter, On the positive side, good location for Bars, Restaurants, Beach, the Hotel is small with one pool and jacuzzi, mostly English guests, decent rooms, entertainment okay but only on alternate days, staff on the whole good.
Unfortunately our experience of the negative side outweighs the positive, as follows :-
Placing towels on beds at 5am is the same wherever you go so set your alarm earlier.
We paid top price for our 10 night stay Half Board, the food was always Luke warm at best and completely tasteless, ordering from the A la carte was the same ( cold) that's if they remembered your order. A limited choice especially if you are Vegetarian like my partner, we gave it our best shot, but in the end the experience was just not enjoyable, we decided to eat out at local restaurants.
Breakfast was reasonable if you like fresh cooked omelettes as these came hot.
We have stopped in lots of 4 star beach resort hotels in many places and have never felt the need to down grade a hotel to a 3 star rating, but we use Trip advisor to check reviews before we book and wouldn't want others to be misled, just being totally honest.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay with us. While we're glad to hear you appreciated our location, rooms, and staff, we are genuinely sorry that your experience with the food did not meet your expectations. Ensuring our guests enjoy a varied and satisfying dining experience is a priority for us, and we regret that we fell short during your stay, especially with regard to temperature and options for vegetarians. Your comments are invaluable to us, and we will be addressing them with our kitchen and service teams to ensure improvements are made. We understand how disappointing it must have been for you, and we appreciate your honest review. We hope that despite the issues you encountered, you were able to enjoy the rest of your holiday, and we thank you once again for your feedback. Best regards, The MarSenses Team

Yes it has shampoo and conditioner in the shower and hand gel by the sink. It also provides a hand held clothes steamer, rather than an iron.
