Wow what can I say. A friend recommended this site as we were looking for a site with a couple of things to do but nothing to overwhelming. The site is very pretty and well kept. You could always spot members of staff doing stuff to make sure that high standards were maintained. There’s a little shop at the site which sells everything you need and you can also order some very reasonably priced hot food.
We stayed in the camping pod and were very comfortable. They come equipped with a heater and a kettle, although we didn’t need the heater as we were blessed with the weather. The pod stayed cool during the day and warm at night. There was a folded table inside too but we didn’t use it as we spent most of our time outside.
The toilets and showers aren’t particularly modern, but they are very clean which is what was important to us! The one thing that puts me off camping generally is shared facilities but these were spotless. Lots of hand gel available at the entrance to the facilities and also the kids play area.
One thing that we really liked was how peaceful the site was. If you’re after a site with a clubhouse this isn’t for you. No issues with noise at all. We really liked the “back to nature” feel and it was great to just enjoy being together as a family rather than being “entertained”.
The swimming pool was lovely. Not very deep which is great for the kids. Our little boy really enjoyed the pool. Our son really liked the playground too. There’s a section for younger children and a bigger one for older kids. There’s also a games room, badminton court and a field for football etc.
We had no problems with phone signal and I had 4g too which was handy.
We would definitely visit again and are looking at booking for next summer.

What a fabulous find. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The park is tidy well kept and there’s plenty of amenities to use! I was surprised by just how many toilets/showers there were. We stayed in one of the pods and the kids loved it! Kettle, table and heater included which was just perfect! The site is lovely as are all the staff we encountered, so welcoming and helpful! The shop is very reasonably priced as is the takeaway we used it on the first night and had a lovely evening meal. We used the swimming pool on site to which is currently a booking system of 30mins a session. The park sits right on the edge of the woods so we were able to do woodland walks and of an evening we went in search of nocturnal animals and found bats over head! We would definitely recommend this site and hope to be back in the future. Location is great lots of things to do in the surrounding area and we made use of a couple of local pubs to.

We’ve been here a few times over the last 30 years. This time we booked 2 places on site for three generations to have a holiday together.
The place is welcoming, quiet, friendly and spotlessly clean. The small staff team work non-stop to keep the place in great condition for visitors.
If you’re looking for a quiet escape - this is perfect. After about 8.30/9 pm the site is virtually silent with some family BBQs and strollers. The site is surrounded by deep forests full of wildlife.
If you’re looking for noise and bustle - stay away. Not for you.
We’ll be back, and so pleased they’re making it through covid with all cleaning precautions and distancing respected. Lovely.

Just ended our first stay at Forest Glade, hopefully it won’t be our last. Loved the peaceful location and vibe around the site. Caravan was spacious and clean, and had all we needed for a short break. Location ideal to get to various more touristy spots - we enjoyed Sidmouth, Torquay and Exmouth (all about 30-45 mins away in the car). Would recommend lunch at The Bakehouse in Cullompton. Kids had hours of fun at the park on site which had something for all ages, and the swimming pool was well managed in terms of Covid restrictions to ensure you felt safe and fair opportunity for all.

We keep our caravan down on the site and have just returned for the third time this year, my two kids can’t get enough of Forest Glade!
The shop is well stocked and reasonably priced, toilet and shower block are cleaned so frequently and to such a high standard I never saw them dirty despite a full campsite.
lots for the kids to do, tennis court, swimming pool, football pitch, adventure playground, games room with soft play and making millions of new friends, the campsite has thought of everything to make your stay a great one, and we love when there were visiting food pods arriving some evenings, along with a wonderful takeaway service…I think Forest Glade is our new happy place!! Thanks for having us and for another week of memories made, we had a blast x

This was our 4th/ 5ith visit to this site and we were not disappointed. we first learned about this site from my mother in law who was a frequent visitor.
As we have a dog we are restricted to a few caravans which is not a problem as the caravans are well cared for and very clean. This visit was our first in a few years it was lovely to go back. Our caravan for the stay was behind the road we thought it would be noisy however considering how busy the road can get we were very pleased that the road noise was very limited and we were not disturbed.
We will be going back next year hopefully for two weeks.

We paid a longer visit here this time, it is so quiet here it is just like being on your own in the middle of no where.
The team are all so friendly and go above and beyond to help out . Thanks Andrea for organising use of the disabled facilities for me to be able to shower with my broken arm and elbow it was so easy with the extra space.
The shop and swimming pool had a one way in one way out system in place and you had to pre book the swimming pool if you wished to use it.
The shop was stocked with lots of different things the only thing missing was newspapers which is understandable .
For those who like wildlife there are plenty of birds that come to pay a visit we were visited daily by a young robin and blue tots. Nighttime you could hear the owls and foxes calling out in the nearby woods.
We are looking forward to our next visit
Thanks for a great week

This was our first time visiting Forest Glade and we were not disappointed.
The site was spotless and staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The caravan was perfect; clean and well equipped. We were positioned next to the children's park and pool and visited both daily, which our children loved.
The pool is not too deep, meaning young children can play confidently. There is also a sauna which was an added bonus! We also made use of the games room and soft play.
We enjoyed long family walks, but also visited beaches and family parks (all within an hours drive away).
The on-site shop is very reasonably priced and well stocked. They also offer a take-away service, providing meals for all ages. We enjoyed a curry which was delicious, whilst out children had nuggets and fish fingers. Again, couldn’t fault the prices and service!
We usually stay at ‘well-known’ caravan sites which provide lots of entertainment and activities. Therefore, I was a little concerned about how my 8, 7 and 4 year old would respond to staying somewhere more tranquil! Turns out they loved it just as much as we did! We even booked an extra night!
The setting is stunning, peaceful and relaxing! We will definitely be returning when we can! Thanks for such a lovely break!

Lovely family break away. We've just returned from a long weekend staying in a caravan, with our two young children and we all had lots of fun.
Great location in the forest, lovely small, quiet family run site and friendly staff.
My two loved the onsite parks and how close our caravan was to them. We enjoyed our session in the pool too- which needs to be booked at reception. The games room is good fun with a little soft play slide, and the forest walks surrounding the site are also lovely. We were lucky with the weather which helped.
Felt very safe, great range of items in the shop and reasonably priced. Takeaway service is available for food and on Saturday's stonebaked pizza's are available to order too.
Very impressed with the size of the caravan and well equipped.
We were worried how narrow the roads on approach would be given the location but they're easy to navigate.
We'd love to return, thank you Forest Glade 🌳

Having stayed in thier static vans have never had any complaints. They are clean, comfortable & have everything you need for a self catering stay in a caravan. Small shop on site which also sells cooked food to order. It hzs a childrens play area, pool & games room. The woodland setting is beautiful. They also allow camping & have a few glamping pods.

jaeparmai asked a question May 2017
Weston super Mare, United Kingdom24 contributions40 helpful votesIs there an electric hook up near the 5acre field??
There are no electric hook-ups in the Five Acre Field. There are some however in the Christmas Tree Field which is the next field down.
There a number of very good local pubs, the nearest two being 2.5 miles away. However, if you wanted a walk to a pub this would be best done via footpaths for a lunch out and we have walks available at Reception.
Thank you for contacting us. We don't have any wheelchair accessible accommodation here. However, if you have your own unit (touring caravan, tent, motor home, etc.) we do have a separate disabled bathroom on the park, in the main facilities building.
