Travelers familiar with DJH Hostels in Germany will feel comfortable at this Jugendherberge. There are two buildings, the older of which had origins during the rise of the NSDAP, and a newer chalet style dorm. I traveled with an undergraduate group who found all their accommodations clean and bright. We booked the daily breakfast which was a fresh European assortment...

We had a maissonette room with balcony, great view of the mountains, daily cleaning, delicious breakfast and dinner. The town centre is reachable on foot, close to the skiing areas which are suitable especially for families. We will definitely return!

The hotel is in the middle of Alpen Mountains and has a very good view. It is located by a beautiful forest. But as you can guess it is hard to reach there without a private car. Even for the train station of Berctesgaden you need to go down on a steep ramp. The breakfast is okay. But the rooms...

I didn't stay there. I first made a booking at booking.com. There it says reservation without credit card. When I had made a booking, they sent me an email(only in German) saying that I have to pay a deposit of 50%. Then I cancelled my booking( many days before the actual check-in dates). i came with 2 friends on saturday, but just a few bus per day, so we need to walk for 25 minutes to city centre, it was a little bit scary at night. however, the enviroment is nice, i can watch the mountain in my room, never noisy, the staff is helpful(but no one on duty from 12 to 3pm)...
