We spent 3 very pleasant nights at this well run hotel that is conveniently located for Glenfinnan and the surrounding attractions. Our room was spotlessly clean and we appreciated the many thoughtful touches - high quality toiletries in the bathroom, complimentary chocolates and whisky and a combined coffee/tea maker. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and enjoyed sampling the varied and excellent locally sourced menu. The hotel proved to be a great base for local walks as well as exploring the stunning scenery in the vicinity. Many thanks to Ina, Jan, Kieron and all the highly attentive staff for making our stay so comfortable. Highly recommended!

We stayed a couple of nights here in August 2020. The hotel is in the cosy traditional Scottish category. We were met by sanitiser before opening door into reception area where we were met by the owner, Ina. Nice and informative welcome.

Our room was on the first floor at the rear of the building. Very little road noise, the very occasional train and only sound was the trickle of the burn. Our room was clean, comfortable and very functional. We liked the sturdy bed. Shower but no bath.

Evening meals were served socially distanced in the bar area. Jan is the waitress and she is well versed in knowledge of the local area and wildlife. There was only one thing to complain about the food - there was too much of it.

The bar menu covered just about every species of meat. Second night I thought the pork chop would be small so order it but it turned out to be the largest most tender one you can imagine.

First night we stuck to local lager and G&T but we went for a bottle of the Rose wine on the second night and it was excellent too.

Breakfasts are truly formidable. Ask for half portions! Major emphasis on home produced products including muesli, bread, jam, yoghurt etc etc.

Don’t stay here if you are concerned about your waistline but other than that there are no negatives. Excellent place to dine if you are on the road from Mallaig to Fort William. Well placed to access Glenfinnan viaduct and the Jacobite Steam train.
Definitely Covid conscious, accommodation is not cheap but nothing is in this area.

We booked this hotel for one night to break up the drive from Lewis back to Glasgow but it ended up being a highlight of our trip! The room was very comfortable and the dinner we had in the bistro was exceptional with fresh local seafood and a beautiful venison steak! The wine was very reasonably priced too and afterwards we treated ourselves to some personally selected whiskeys. The service was outstanding and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was similarly delicious. We’ll definitely be back for another visit - hopefully for a longer stay!

This hotel is a very cozy and small hotel that probably qualifies as bed & breakfast except that their restaurant is also open for dinner to the general public.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a radiator for heating (and cooling). The bathroom was nice and clean. I think the water may have been naturally sourced, given its color, but that's not an issue and drinking water was provided in the room. You should remove your shoes and use the provided slippers. Bathrobes were also provided.

The food for dinner and breakfast was very good. Everything was very fresh and of the highest quality, beautifully prepared and delicious. The atmosphere is great, and I especially liked the paintings displayed in the breakfast room.

We only stayed one night but this was easily the best hotel experience we had while traveling there.

Fantastic small hotel … …
The staff are a delight, passionate and very friendly.
The food is awesome with a great deal of it home made / locally sourced.
The rooms although a little small are very nice and the entire hotel is very clean.

Sits in a great location in Glenfinnan with the rail station 100m away and the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct a short walk away where steam trains pass 4 times a day.

Also of course is the Glenfinnan monument to the Jacobite uprising, If that’s not enough the highland scenery is epic.

Although the owners made us so, so welcome and nothing was too much trouble, I wouldn't stay here again. Everything was very clean and the room was comfortable and quiet despite being on a road with occasional traffic going by. The breakfasts were lovely with home made bread, etc. The one night we ate there - the service was slow and the food pricey but delicious. The decor was tired but other good things outweighed this. The big minus is that the lighting in the room was dim, the coffee/tea maker by the bed was infuriating to use - why not a conventional kettle? Also we couldn't make a thermos flask for the next day's travels. I was terrified of breaking the machine! Above all, there was no TV reception the whole time we were there due to inclement weather. Luckily I had my laptop. Four stars nonetheless.

My wife and I had been invited by friends to Glenfinnan to visit them and the local attractions, including the Glenfinnan Railway Museum, the Monument and Visitor Centre, and, of course, to enjoy the absolutely breath-taking scenery.
We were booked into The Prince's House Hotel for three nights, and we could not have been made more welcome. Although all necessary anti-covid rules were applied diligently, this did not in any way diminish the enjoyment of our stay at this very comfortable hotel. The owners, Ina and Kieron, could not have been more welcoming, and the food and drink on offer were of the highest quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend a few days in this wonderful part of the world.

I had a lovely stay here. I was made to feel very welcome and the setting is just beautiful. After a days walking I particularly enjoyed eating dinner in the restaurant which was like home cooked food. Breakfast was really superb. I will be sure to revist and really did feel the owners provide a fantastic service.

This small hotel is in a beautiful location 1/2 mile from the Glenfinnan Monument, visitor centre and Jacobite train viaduct.. It is comfortable with very frilly staff . The food however is the highlight - dinner and breakfast and all locally sourced.
