Had two nights DBB to celebrate anniversary and wasn't disappointed. Staff were great, friendly and down to earth. Room refurbished last year but impression was they'd not finished yet, though only real let down was lack of towel rail in bathroom. Restaurant more like a cafe bar so not particularly romantic but the food we had was excellent. Ample for...

My friend and my husband have birthdays at the same time, one day between them, so we treated them both to a stay at this hotel. Lovely when you drive up, the staff, all of them were so helpful, friendly and nice. We had a few drinks in the afternoon then had dinner at night. The food was excellent, they...

My husband booked the hotel it was a deal, hotel stay with a three course meal and a bottle of wine. We didn't know what to expect as there's mixed reviews. We arrived and the front looks lovely, restored castle with lovely gardens. The staff were very welcoming there's a young lad on the door greeting people which was a...

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to review your stay with us. I am sorry that the main course of your dinner was not to your liking but pleased that other than that you enjoyed your time with us. I know Nathan on the door will be delighted to get a mention as it was his first shift.

I attended the hotel as a day visitor for a conference. The hotel is in a nice location on the coast and there is a large car park. We were advised in advance that we could not consume our own food and drink in the hotel so arrived early to get a drink. Initially we queued in the tiny bar...

Stayed for one night as we had to be in Liverpool very early the next morning. Our rooms were not renovated and were very worn. There was a very cold draft through the windows and we had free standing heaters which made an awful smell when turned on. There were radiators in the rooms which didn't work. Our bathrooms were...

I am so sorry you experienced the issues you did during your stay. the room you stayed in is one of seven that refurbishment will start in the next 2 weeks (little comfort to you) I can assure you that the other issues you experienced were certainly not the rule and I apologise for them. Thank you for your review.

I am so confused with this hotel. I've been there 5 years ago with my husband and was overwhelmed by it! Absolutely loved it! The premises were excellent, the room fantastic and the public areas amazing! However, we've been there two months ago once again, as we had passed so great in the previous time. Our room was renovated and...

I am a bit confused with this review. I think that on the whole you enjoyed your stay but that the breakfast was not quite what you expected. We are in the process of putting a new breakfast menu in so I hope this will improve things for you.

My wife and I (both mid 30's) had booked a 1 night stay at the castle with DB&B. We arrived at Leasowe and were impressed with the look of the Grade 2 listed building entering the courtyard. There were nice touches to the right hand side with well manicured gardens and the building looked great (the left hand side is...
