The setting for this hotel is beautiful and the staff are really nice and the food is excellent. Those are the reasons for the three stars instead of two. The rooms are unbelievably tiny, and very gloomy, and as others mention, the walls are paper thin so you hear everything.

It’s an extremely rude hotel
The kayak is down the road about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. It was extremely lovely to paddle and just float in the stillness.

Good evening Catherine, I'm so sorry you haven't heard from us. I've now sent you an answer on your e-mail. The hotel serve a delicios 3-coursed dinner every evening. The meu is based on the best seaonal and loacal ingredients. The price is 615,- pr. person, and we have two seatings, one at 18:30 and one at 20:30. Hello Elana, Its a lot of beautiful hikes here at Øye and Urke. So there will be several beautiful options even if your not "serious hikers". Just come and enjoy!

"3rd floor is better as it’s top floor, this is an old hotel, it squeaks and has thin walls and timber floors !"
"King Oscar's room is spacious and have views to the garden, the fjord and Slogen mountain."
