What a great stay! 4 nights at this charming property. Perfect place to return to each afternoon after a day exploring the medieval villages and towns, historic sites in the area. A beautiful, spacious mansion with plenty of character in a green, tranquil garden. Especially the 2 majestic trees at each side of the main entrance. Adam and Ben are great hosts. Their chateau is their pride and it shows. Great views from the large rooms, each with its own large bathroom. We were very happy with our stay. Recommend without hesitation!

We had one night to spare on our way from Narbonne to Bordeaux. Taking a chance we called up and we got an almost immediate call back. And the offer of dinner too! Finding the Chateau Mezger down some country roads we were delighted to find such a unique home and utterly charming BnB. The hosts are both such lovely people and after the yummy dinner that Ben cooked, we chatted into the night. The grounds are gorgeous, the wild pool a treat. But the house! Those windows! But also the comfort and beautifully decorated rooms and dining room. This was an amazing final treat on our French trip. Thank you both and to your lovely Hattie , hope her paw is better! We planned this stay as a stopover on our way to Bordeaux, so we ended up staying only one night, something we immediately regretted upon arrival. Ben was sipping a glass of wine under a tree and after putting our bags down we gladly joined him. He is a charming, attentive and welcoming host, which only adds to the overall experience. The property itself is absolutely stunning. The main salon, the stairs, the dinning room... everything is beautiful, with intricate ceilings and wooden panels covering the walls. There is something of a hint of a bygone era. The room was very comfortable and big and we slept wonderfully. Montauban (a 10 min drive) was itself a pleasant surprise as well. A fantastic stay that we wished we could have enjoyed longer. Will definitely come back!

We stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful Chateau. Our room called Louise - was large and tastefully decorated with a spacious ensuite and a balcony overlooking the grounds. Comfortable bed with good quality linen. Very tranquil gardens where we enjoyed supper outside around a large table with the other guests. Would love to stay again.

We've just spent 3 nights staying with Ben and Adam in this beautiful Chateau. All the rooms are stunning with incredible views across the gardens. Ben is great chef so I would definitely recommend booking for dinner. Both Ben and Adam are hugely welcoming and warm host who will be able to advise on some the beautiful places to explore locally. No review on Chateau Mezger would be complete without mentioning the wonderful array of family pets who add such a special touch to the stay - loving the ducks! We will definitely be back again!

After a long drive arriving at this 1920's chateau outside Montauban, was heavenly. We were welcomed by Adam and dog. Shown to a bright, fresh room and then enjoyed champagne (that we'd brought), on ice in the garden! There's a little plunge pool that's being upgraded next year into a proper pool. Lots of shady trees. A set dinner (if requested) was served in the garden with the other guests. Simple but delicious. Any allergies or whims let Adam know in advance!! We slept well and enjoyed a relaxed breakfast also served in the garden before hitting the road. A lovely place to stay ... Adam and Ben deserve to do well. We will definitely stay again.

Hubby and I stayed there for a long weekend and it was delightful. Ben is a lovely host and the house is beautifully presented - after a couple of hours it seemed more like being at a house party than in a hotel. The natural pool was refreshing - both in temperature (and this was a blessing as the weather was extremely hot) - but on our skin. I have very sensitive skin and to be in untreated water was delicious. Also I have always been fascinated by natural pools so was agog to try one. Swimming alongside waterlilies and little frogs was a joy. Ben's evening meals were also a treat as he is a very good cook, you do eat en famille with other guests which again adds to the house party ambience. We stayed in both Louise (very large room and bathroom) and in Cedare (smaller but actually cooler). Don't worry about the heat though as the blinds are kept lowered during the day and fans are supplied! Forgot about the menagerie - rescue dogs and cat - all too sweet for words plus the Indian ducks who are subject to strict herding by Alfie (the sheepdog). Harry the cat is bliss too. And chickens trespass from the farm next door at odd times. However all are lost in the 5 1/2 acres of grounds surrounding the chateau

What a great place to stay. Ben your host tries to make this feel like home from home. It is tucked out of the way but you are rewarded with peace and quiet, and re charge time. We only needed to stay one night but would not hesitate to return to use as a base for exploring the area. The house is a charming blend of old, antique and new, very tastefully done. We also enjoyed Bens supper which he prepared himself, and breakfast was great. Highly recommended

Ben is a great host with every detail perfect, right down to the gorgeous border collie in the garden. We started with our champagne in the garden then sat done to a beautiful meal in the stunning dining room. This is a true Chateau experience.
