What a great stay! 4 nights at this charming property.
Perfect place to return to each afternoon after a day exploring the medieval villages and towns, historic sites in the area. A beautiful, spacious mansion with plenty of character in a green, tranquil garden. Especially the 2 majestic trees at each side of the main entrance.
Adam and Ben are great hosts. Their chateau is their pride and it shows. Great views from the large rooms, each with its own large bathroom.
We were very happy with our stay.
Recommend without hesitation!

The house is amazing, it is beautiful, elegant & airy. The bedrooms are large with great windows & the sitting room is wonderfully comfortable. (The honesty bar is a great touch) One can wander off to peacefully explore the grounds or get in the car & visit the locale which has a great variety of things to offer. Our hosts could not have been more charming & went above & beyond to make our stay truly memorable..... And did I mention their cooking? The food is to die for! Our three days felt like a fabulously relaxed house party with some really lovely people.... we will certainly be returning.

We've just spent 3 nights staying with Ben and Adam in this beautiful Chateau. All the rooms are stunning with incredible views across the gardens. Ben is great chef so I would definitely recommend booking for dinner. Both Ben and Adam are hugely welcoming and warm host who will be able to advise on some the beautiful places to explore locally. No review on Chateau Mezger would be complete without mentioning the wonderful array of family pets who add such a special touch to the stay - loving the ducks! We will definitely be back again!

Hubby and I stayed there for a long weekend and it was delightful. Ben is a lovely host and the house is beautifully presented - after a couple of hours it seemed more like being at a house party than in a hotel.
The natural pool was refreshing - both in temperature (and this was a blessing as the weather was extremely hot) - but on our skin. I have very sensitive skin and to be in untreated water was delicious. Also I have always been fascinated by natural pools so was agog to try one. Swimming alongside waterlilies and little frogs was a joy.
Ben's evening meals were also a treat as he is a very good cook, you do eat en famille with other guests which again adds to the house party ambience.
We stayed in both Louise (very large room and bathroom) and in Cedare (smaller but actually cooler).
Don't worry about the heat though as the blinds are kept lowered during the day and fans are supplied!
Forgot about the menagerie - rescue dogs and cat - all too sweet for words plus the Indian ducks who are subject to strict herding by Alfie (the sheepdog). Harry the cat is bliss too. And chickens trespass from the farm next door at odd times. However all are lost in the 5 1/2 acres of grounds surrounding the chateau

Arrived after a long drive and Shown to completely lovely room (La suite Louise). Totally stunning and huge. Fabulous house in middle of countryside. Chickens clucking and happy husband accompanied by tea in the garden. Treated to a yummy home cooked dinner with copious wine and great company in the form of the other guests and the lovely Ben who owns and runs it with his partner. Breakfast next morning gorgeous and we could have stayed a week! Like having a weekend with great friends. Ben deserves much applause !

We stayed recently at the wonderful Chateau Mezger and can highly recommend you do the same when visiting south west France. The rooms are simple but stylish and extremely comfortable with fabulous linen and towels and great views over the gardens. We elected to take up the offer of the 4 course dinner including wine and what a great decision that was - beautiful dinner in lovely surroundings. Adam and Ben have thought of everything to make a stay here a really enjoyable and memorable experience.

When we booked the Louise Suite with Adam and Ben owner of Chateau Mezger little did we know that we would be ushered into one of the most spacious light filled rooms I have ever seen.

Beautiful wooden flooring, floor to ceiling windows, balcony over looking the huge garden.

As soon as we dropped our bags and installed ourself in this grand room we made our way down along a very grand carved wooden staircase and through a stunning dining room and salon out to a beautifully set table by the pool. Here we ate traditional roast easter lamb with all the trimmings prepared to perfection by Ben Limond who has just returned from training at Le Caprice.

The garden is magical and the work of very talented gardener Adam - a huge space full of immense majestic ancient trees, with a well planted fresh water swimming pool and there is an old wooden swing that our two children played on for hours.

It is the kind of sunlit space you never want to leave. Ideal for couples, ideal for solo travellers - it is a cocoon which feels like it is from other grander and gentler times.

On that note the wifi was good which was a relief with my work needing good broadband. We were told that the spotless and enormous ensuite bathroom would soon be updated too but it was perfectly serviceable.

We looked at two other rooms which were not as gigantic as the Louise Suite but huge nonetheless, both with double aspect windows, balconies and ensuites. Just lovely - we will be coming again and this time we will make the effort to venture out and sample Montauban a few minutes away which has a good nightlife. Next time and - without the kids perhaps!

We had one night to spare on our way from Narbonne to Bordeaux. Taking a chance we called up and we got an almost immediate call back. And the offer of dinner too!
Finding the Chateau Mezger down some country roads we were delighted to find such a unique home and utterly charming BnB. The hosts are both such lovely people and after the yummy dinner that Ben cooked, we chatted into the night. The grounds are gorgeous, the wild pool a treat. But the house! Those windows! But also the comfort and beautifully decorated rooms and dining room. This was an amazing final treat on our French trip. Thank you both and to your lovely Hattie , hope her paw is better! Terri and Mike

We planned this stay as a stopover on our way to Bordeaux, so we ended up staying only one night, something we immediately regretted upon arrival. Ben was sipping a glass of wine under a tree and after putting our bags down we gladly joined him. He is a charming, attentive and welcoming host, which only adds to the overall experience. The property itself is absolutely stunning. The main salon, the stairs, the dinning room... everything is beautiful, with intricate ceilings and wooden panels covering the walls. There is something of a hint of a bygone era. The room was very comfortable and big and we slept wonderfully. Montauban (a 10 min drive) was itself a pleasant surprise as well. A fantastic stay that we wished we could have enjoyed longer. Will definitely come back!
