We had a slight problem with our booking but the owner sorted it 5 adults and one child and got us all seated. We booked here as it comes highly recommended by other owners on our site . The meal was superb , steaks ,gammon and hickory and garlic chicken and a children's meal too. One thing that stood out was the attentive and lovely service by the waitresses. Thank you for a lovely evening meal.

As a family we visited the Begelly Arms on 21st October, unfortunately we will not be visiting again. From the time we placed our order, the starters didn't arrive, the mains took over half an hour to arrive! The manager said he wouldn't take the starters off, then went off to ring his mum to ask her permission to take the starters off! After an argument we paid for what we had and left. Needless to say, never to return!!

Thank you for taking the time to review. I investigated this item, as it was brought to my attention, and having spoken to the person who took your order, you placed orders for food and then asked for a garlic bread at the end, it was interpreted as a side order. no mention was made of starters according to the waitress, so the order came out as one order. And our system is designed and has a button that prints on orders (End of Starters) so when starters are ordered we put this on to identify the difference. So I do not believe sorry that it was ordered as a starter, which is your error not ours. and therefore technically should have been paid for. The argument you suggest was created by yourselves not us, we don't do that kind of thing we just respond to you as customers, and our staff are not allowed to shout at you. It is a simple mistake, which you have taken out of proportion. and your review makes no mention of the food ??

Had a week stay in Pleasant valley and decided to book Sunday lunch. Very glad we did. Stunning main dinner with choice of meats. Lovely desserts as well. Staff polite and friendly and service was excellent. Good value for money. Having been impressed we booked for an evening meal. We Were not disappointed. Good choice on the menu. Staff again friendly and polite.service was good. On both occasions we weren’t rushed or kept waiting. We would recommend these premises. Lovely big car park.

Don't let the outside fool you. Inside was warm, comfortable and the music wasn't too loud. The steaks we had were fantastic and affordable, the drinks were cheap and the staff were really lovely. Next time we are going to try the Sunday lunch, can't wait.
