The Cross Keys is that place where you could go to day after day - great atmosphere, very friendly staff and locals, superb food and a beautiful setting. My favourite pub & restaurant! The menu changes often and the dinner experience is great. Whether you are stopping in the area or just passing through it is definitely worth a visit!

Where do I start this place was a hidden gem. Found on lastminute.com I was a bit dubious at the price for two nights being so cheap but took the chance and I'm glad because it was well worth it! I Wasn't meant too check in until 18:00 but rang up too change this too an earlier time as I'm...

I booked a last minute stay at this pub after finding it online for a great price of only £50 (the pics I saw online don't do the place justice!). It was in a good location for us as we went to the Cheddar Gorge for the day which was only 40mins away and Bath the next day which was...

A warm welcome was waiting for us on arrival at this lovely village pub. Very pleased with the blue and yellow rooms allocated, which were clean, comfortable and spacious. Nice to have a decent shower en suite too which I much prefer to a shower over a bath. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast the following morning. We felt well...

Fabulous interior, attentive staff, great food and beer at reasonable prices. We are big fans of their roast dinners, homely roast In a home from home environment. Accommodating for kids and animals too. A real village pub with a real village feel.

We needed a Sunday night stop over between Bournemouth and Bath and chose the first place the we found on the internet. We were quite apprehensive because of our hasty choice and especially since we checked in late, but the staff gave us a warm welcome nonetheless. The room was charming and large, very clean and presentable and the bed...

Four of us stayed here in two rooms recently as we were visiting Longleat When we arrived the pub was closed so we went into Frome..... (apparently it did say check in after 6pm on the Laterooms website but I missed it) when we mentioned it the lady was a bit 'off' with us!!! The rooms were a good size...

We couldn't have been more pleased with the rooms! We knew the owners have recently acquired the place and plan to do some work to the rooms but they were absolutely wonderful already. The beds are new and very comfy. The rooms are a wonderful size, with a flatscreen TV and full access to all of the freeview channels. Tea...

Stayed there for a weekend on 11-13 March as we were going to Longleat on the saturday. We arrived on Friday leaving the Sunday morning. For the price paid of £50 per night more was expected. The quilt cover appeared to have stains on it when we arrived but were to tired to say anything and went to sleep. There...

Thank you for your review. I apologise you were unhappy with your stay here at The Cross Keys, I wish you had spoken to us during your stay and we would have certainly corrected anything you were unhappy with - when you settled the tab and left we asked if everything was okay to which you said yes. A party of 6 stayed in 3 rooms for a weekend break visiting family, 3rd time we have used this pub with rooms. Hospitality great, food fantastic, rooms basic but warm and welcoming, clean and tidy. Lots of regulars use the pub, a great reputation for great food, we ate lunch and evening could not fault any of the food...
