Comfortable enough stay, facilities are a bit tired - rubbish was piled up at the entrance when we arrived which didn’t give a great first impression, and was there a while. I don’t think the shower block was cleaned the 2 nights (Sat/Sun) we were there. Water is very hot (no warning signs so be careful with kids). Good location, bus stop to St Ives a short walk away - about every 15 mins and takes less than 10. We walked back on the SE coastal path which took about 1 hour. Carbis Bay a steep hill walk back but nice beach, dog friendly after 6pm only.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Your comments are noted and taken on board, the bins are regularly emptied by Phil with the tractor but we will ensure the entrance has a better impression for future seasons, the shower blocks and toilets are cleaned every morning at around 6am so we’re disappointed to hear you feel they were not cleaned, we will place signage regarding the water also Kind regards Md camping x

Just returned from our stay at Mount Douglas. Toilets clean, showers hot, pitches big. Always a pleasure staying here, this was our third year. Big thanks to Phil, Zoe and Alan for being so accommodating. Love the chats and banter with Phil. Carbis bay within walking distance as well as train station, buses for st Ives etc. See you next year!

Perfect for our family! Great size pitches. We have a Berhaus 8.1 plus porch and a Tiguan Allspace, all fitted on the pitch no problems along with the big wooden picnic bench and still plenty of room to sit round the firepit and the kids to play infront of the tent 🧡 Phil, Zoe and Alan are are lovely, at hand whenever you need help. The site was clean, with good facilities. Fridges, freezers, washing machine and dryer. Hot and cooler showers which was great for younger kids, my little girl prefers cooler water. The toilets and showers where always spotless! All the people staying on site where really nice which was a huge bonus, the kids made friends really easily and enjoyed playing football and other games in the field with plenty of space around. Great location, supermarkets a 5 minute drive, bus stop a 5 minute walk, beaches 10 minutes away. Just perfect! See you next year!!

A really nice family run camp site in a great location in carbis bay near St Ives. Can't fault this place, its a little gem ,we stayed for a week and found it to have very good facilities in regards to toilets and showers and the site is kept in good order. The owner Phil is a great guy and will do anything to help if you need it, the location is perfect with a bus stop just a 5 minute walk away and a restaurant again just 5 minutes away. The site attracts decent people and was quiet after 9pm so no trouble sleeping. Electric hook ups , washing machines, fridges and freezers available to use free of charge. I would highly recommend this site.

Good communication from the site when booking, we arrived much earlier then expected then called Phil who met us within 10mins. The site was well laid out with very clean toilets and showers and a large fridge and freezer for all to use. Phil made us feel very welcome and genuinely cared, especially when we left our tent all day and night to stay with a local friend, calling to check we were safe and ok. Be sure to check out Matt who operates boat trips from the site too. A short walk into beautiful Carbis Bay beach and also close to some essential shops and a pub. Will definitely return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We brought our 2 dogs as well. The facilities are super clean and just what you’d want from a campsite. 5-10 min drive to St Ives and also close to loads of beaches and costal walks. Phil couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and clearly people return there over the summer which says a lot about the site. Would deffo return! Such good value for money as well..

Such a lovely campsite! Phil and Colin are lovely chaps, friendly, helpful and funny. The facilities are great, clean hot showers and fridge/freezer access, electrical sockets for hairdryer/charging phones etc. the pitch was really big, and very well kept, you can get a fire pit and a bit bag of logs for a very small price, and the skies in this area are super dark and clean. Perfect location, nice and quiet, but a quick 10-15 minute to Carbis bay beach, and not far at all from St Ives. Will definitely be back, already looking forward to it! Excellent value for money. Thank you so much!
