Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Would highly recommend a stay in Sailaway if visiting St Ives or the surrounding areas. My partner and I couldn’t fault the place. Hot cooked breakfast served every morning; or your choice of toast, cereals, breakfast muffins etc. something for everyone. Great location, just a ten or so min walk from Carbis Bay train station. We walked to St Ives from the B&B which was lovely and took just 25 mins, and also a bus stop less than 5 mins away which will take you there too. There’s a Tesco close by (10 min walk) if you need to stop for any conveniences.
The host Isabel was very welcoming and interesting as was her unique and charming B&B. Full of quirky individuality. We loved it and will return, thank you!

Izabella is the most amazing host and cannot do enough for you.
I can't recommend this place enough. Amazing food, location, garden and company. St. Ives is only a short distance next door, we used it as a base to travel all around the whole of Cornwall and it worked well.
We will be back!

Just stayed in Sailaway to attend a wedding reception. The owner is a lovely lady called Isabella who welcomed us with iced water ( sweltering hot) and sorbet. We were shown to our room and then sat in the garden where Isabella talked of all the finds on display. It was an easy walk to our venue, following directions. We joined the other guests for a great breakfast in the morning. Would seek this out if we are in Carbis Bay again.

Me and my husband stayed at sail away for two nights and ut was fab. Such a nice friendly lady, the veranda area near room is so artistically decorated that gives a soothing vibes while enjoying evening tea there after coming back from Carbis Bay.. I can never forget it ever. Such comfortable bet and lots of tea ☕️ to enjoy.
It should be rated more than 10/10 .
I got the idea to make such Area at my home as well as such artistically country side decorated part of home gives u soothing effect in such a busy life routine, when one wants to calm down mind after a hectic day.

I stayed for three nights. Quirky little place, just off main road. Lovely rooms, small but nicely decorated. Isabella the host welcoming & attentive to any needs. Extensive selection of breakfast & whatever you want cooked to order, lots of options. Disappointed with one bathroom shared with four other rooms & also no room service. Even after approaching host was told she does not do this.

Me and my husband stayed at sailaway for one night. We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly lady owner. Very clean and quirky place. Plenty of tea and coffee in room. Fab nights sleep in a comfy bed and very quiet. A large selection of breakfast to choose from.

Arrived in Carbis Bay for our stay. Couldn't find the place so rang up, said she didn't have a booking 8n my name and was closed for refurbishment. I booked and paid 8n full June 2021. It was 4pm and getting dark we had travelled 8 hours by train (I had a some point notified her our arrival time!) All she could do was offer us a refund. Not a big help when sat on a roadside seat on a Friday and needing somewhere to stay. Eventually my son in law who was at home searched the Internet and found us something. She needs a course in hotel management ASAP.

Isabella was lovely, welcoming, warm.. nothing too much trouble. She has thought of everything you would need. We were comfy well fed and relaxed staying here. The gardens are comfy, so we relaxed a lot with drinks and food (take away). Will definitely rebook and recommend. Thank you for lovely experience

This b&b is not for everyone, it's quirky and low lighting, make it interesting. The breakfast is decent and varied. However, the usp of this place is Isabella, the owner. She is intelligent, funny and utterly charming. I will cherish her story she shared about her families history for a long time. James
