Imagine settling in to a lovely breakfast nook with house-made granola with figs, apricots, and nuts, served with thick yogurt, all kinds of exotic fruits, and your choice of warm specialties. Now imagine your breakfast interrupted by a cry of "dolphins!" as everyone rushes from breakfast to the back deck to look out over Carbis Bay and see a pod playing in the distance. Yes, that happened. And this family-run hotel is that fabulous, with an extraordinarily attentive staff and attention to detail. Upon check-in, guests get a map and a list of the owner's favorite drives and restaurants (and he was so right)!

Boskerris Villa Hotel , a family run establishment was the highlight of our road trip to Cornwall. This is the first time from the instant I set foot into the Hotel I had that delightful feeling " This is home away from home " I loved everything I saw around me. The interior of the hotel and the rooms are very tastefully done up capturing the ambience of St.Ives by the sea. Things that were on display had been chosen with a sharp eye for detail.. Service is warm and friendly. Only light lunches are served and there is no dinner service , but I am sure snacks are available. For lunch my husband ordered a crab meat sandwich, which he said was the best he had ever eaten.Breakfast was excellent and well laid out in the charming breakfast room. For everything offered , the double room rates per night from SGD233 or 133 Pounds , excluding tax at 20 % is well worth the money paid.. If Singapore wasn't as far away as Cornwall , I would in a heartbeat return for another visit to Hotel Boskerris

Absolutely cannot fault the helpfullness of the staff, the ambiance of the place and the breakfast. We've stayed before and this time was every bit as good as last time. Will definitely be back. The welcome was exceptional and ideas of where to go and waht to see invaluable and yes, we did manage to see some seals

This is more of a B&B than a hotel and located on Carbis Bay, not St Ives itself (next bay along) - as such it is very expensive! The staff are all very friendly & extremely helpful. There are lovely touches like their own blend of coffee & granola/muesli (both delicious) and it has great views of Carbis Bay. The breakfast choice is pretty good but little things let it down, eg the tiny pancakes (why so small?) and the inconsistency (maple syrup & french toast). However, bottled water is provided in the room every day & the toiletries (not replenished daily) are good quality. Bath towels are too big & heavy but are changed every day and the standard of cleanliness is excellent. There are great recommendations for days out and routes to take, etc, plus bags of local knowledge (we will always think of Bronnan and the wild & beautiful Kynance Cove!). Overall, we had a very good week and would stay at the Boskerris again.
