Our stay in this charming, chic bed and breakfast was unforgettable. The hosts were extremely friendly and warm-hearted, always eager and helpful. We were immediately impressed by the stylish furnishings and the tastefully decorated rooms with a great sea view.
The beautiful, small garden with a terrace, lounge furniture, loungers and parasols was a wonderful place to relax. We found the beach mats, parasols and windbreaks in the entrance area provided for guests on a trip to the beach particularly thoughtful.
There were many other lovely little details such as a candy jar in the hallway, cake in the room every afternoon, cozy blankets for the terrace and garden, the "honesty bar" with self-service for a nice glass of wine in the evening, for example, and magazines and books throughout the house.
The delicious, freshly prepared breakfast, both as a buffet and à la carte, left nothing to be desired and we were able to enjoy it every day in the beautiful winter garden with a view of Carbis Bay. We would be happy to come back anytime and are delighted with this wonderful bed and breakfast. Our thanks go to Mark and Fenella, the nicest hosts you could imagine!!!
The location is perfect. Whether for beach days, hikes, beautiful walks, delicious restaurants (thanks for the great recommendations Mark) or exploring the surrounding area and South Cornwall
Headland House is the perfect place for holidaymakers who like to travel individually and are looking for tasteful, upscale, quiet and personal accommodation.

Our stay at Headland House was nothing short of perfection! Mark & Fenella went above and beyond to make everything perfect and make us feel very comfortable. The rooms are extremely cosy with the best facilities and the bed was so comfortable. Absolute breathtaking views from the accom and as you sit in the breakfast room you can also see the sea, what a bonus! The breakfast provided was also amazing with so many options available - as well as a special treat left in your room each day. Take the beautiful coastal walk into St Ives and you’ll be there in 20 mins. Could not fault this place and would recommend to everyone :)

Stayed from 12th to the 19th of August and we had the Porthminster room with a wonderful view. This was the 2nd time we have stopped at Headland House, and it won't be the last. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with easy access to the the train station (3 minutes walk) and Carbis Bay beach, and onwards along the coastal path to St Ives if you want to be adventurous.
Fenella and Mark are fabulous hosts and make you feel very welcome and can't do enough for you. The breakfast is delicious from Cereal, Freshly made Yoghurt, Smoked Salmon to a Full English Breakfast, plus cake in your room when you get back in the afternoon.
The bed is really comfortable and the room and the whole of the house is spotlessly clean, to be honest I cannot say a bad word about our stay here.
Please book and enjoy you're stay here you won't be disappointed

We what can I say, from the moment we arrived and checked in we had a fantastic 5 nights stay. Fenella and Mark and the rest of the team are so lovely and will cater for all your needs, Mark is a walking encyclopaedia and his knowledge is brilliant.
We stopped in the Porthcurno bedroom and what a view we had over Carbis Bay and looking at St Ives. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and the bed was really comfortable and the window seat we had was put to great use during our stay.
Breakfast is lovely which you order the night before, and I had a cooked breakfast everyday (but paying fir it now). My wife had various different breakfasts including the Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagel, also she had the Yoghurt which she said was amazing.
We met and chatted to some lovely couples while we were there which was lovely.
At night I sat outside on the patio furniture and watched the world tick by until the early hours as it was so warm.
The walk down to the beach is ok but coming back up the hill which is quite steep got your heart going.
There are plenty of car parking spaces at Headland House and I would recommend you book direct with them saving you £9.00 per day.
Overall the Headland House was a fantastic break for us with great service, and would definitely go back in a heart beat and recommend it to all, thank you Fenella and Mark and your team, from Michelle and Garry

We had a delightful two-night stay at Headland house and loved everything. Amazing hosts, beautiful room with wonderful views over Carbis bay. We loved the extra touches in the room especially the home made cakes. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices and made to order which was served in the conservatory with sea views.
We enjoyed the location as the house sits just above Carbis Bay with easy access to the railway and all the local restaurants, beach and coastal walks.
We loved the area and will definitely be returning.

Just back from a fabulous stay at Headland House! We have stayed at many B&Bs but this one is very hard to beat! Mark and Finella were great hosts and have literally thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Great location, quiet and very comfortable room, superb breakfasts, and all the little things which makes your stay super special such as a welcome drink when you arrive and homemade cake in the afternoons… it felt like a home from home and we wouldn’t hesitate to return when we visit Carbis Bay. Thank you both!

Me and my wife stayed here for a week in August 2020.We spent 5 days in sea view room and 2 days in the boathouse room.So the good things about the hotel - it os spotless everywhere , very nicely decorated ,a great breakfast each day and a lovely couple that run the hotel.,and a great location for carbis bay , so why only 3 stars you ask , I will start with out second room which was a stunning room called the boathouse and lots of space the problem we endured was there is a room above this room that guests stay in and as soon as they move or walk about the ceiling creaks and you can hear every movement below ,when they wake up the slightest bit of chatter in there room will wake you up , on our first night we had our tv on a low level of 12 on volume and they come down and asked us to turn our tv sown as they want to sleep we had ti turn tv off as we could not hear it , for £169 a night i do not want to be awoken when on holiday by people above me and certainly not have to turn my tv off as i cannot hear it to avoid upsetting other holiday makers so as beautiful room as it is i would not stay in this room again unless it was completely soundproofed. Our other room the sea view room which we spent 5 days in again was very nicely decorated but we had to live out of our suitcase for 5 days as this room had very little storage space probably a great room for a weekend visit but be aware again you can here guests from the next room but as we spent very little time in the room managed the best we could.Fir the amount the hotel charges a night i would have expected more storage.Overall the hotel is a beautiful decorated hotel all around and some rooms are probably ideal for a short stay but if you are looking for a week away do your research about what room you are going to stay in first and ask the questions as you are paying for a nice relaxing break without neighbouring rooms above or at the side and storage for clothes to affect your stay, otherwise enjoy your break

Since returning from our stay at Headland House I have recommended it to all my friends and family!
If you are looking for a beautifully presented B&B in a great location, excellent breakfasts and the best hosts you could wish for, then look no further.
Mark and Fenella were so very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Wonderful people.
We stayed in Room 3, Cape Cornwall which, although it did not have a sea view, was beautifully furnished, a good size and had an amazing bathroom. The cakes were amazing and we were so grateful for the Prosecco to help celebrate my birthday.
Just a couple of minutes walk to the train station into St Ives too.
Do book (book directly through their website as you get free parking and a welcome cream tea) - you won’t be disappointed.

We stayed at Headland House for 3 nights in early June. We wished that we could have stayed longer. The location was great and easy to find with parking. The rooms were a very nice size as well as the bathrooms. (The Boathouse and Cape Cornwall). The beds were very comfortable and all the details made you feel right at home. The cream tea was a very nice touch as well as the sherry and the honor bar in the club room. The terrace deck is a great place to enjoy a drink. Mark and Finella are fabulous hosts and terrific cooks. Our breakfasts were always so delicious with a wide variety of options. All 4 of us really loved the Avocado toast. The breakfast room is very cheery and you can enjoy the fresh morning breeze. They were so welcoming and helpful in their suggestions of places to go, restaurants and driving tips in Cornwall. We would love to go back there to stay longer! Thank you Mark and Finella for a wonderful stay!

We spent 4 nights at Headland House and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Mark and Finella are wonderful and informative hosts. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and usually held us until dinner.
The house has been renovated for purpose so it is very well appointed and comfortable. We stayed in the Cape Cornwall room that is very large with an en-suite bathroom. The room also had an American size king bed which was very comfortable!
We enjoyed the location as the house sits just above Carbis Bay with easy access to the railway (3 minute walk) and all the local restaurants and activities. We also walked into St.Ives which was an easy 15 minute walk.
We loved the area so plan to return to Cornwall and will definitely stay at Headland House.
