Finial House is a 17th century former Rectory opposite the bowling green in the quiet rural cotswold village of Broadwell near Burford (A40) 6 miles. The Cotswold Wildlife Park and the upper reaches of the River Thames are 3 miles away. London is 70 miles away.We run a friendly and relaxed family house with a large mature garden, with herbaceous borders, croquet lawn, hard tennis court and surf swing.There are many lovely Cotswold walks and the Thames footpath is close by; fabulous for walking, picnicing and boating. We keep an Edwardian punt on the river which is available for use by our guests in the summer months. The countryside around us is also great for cyclists who wish to explore the surrounding lanes and villages. Riding and Polo are nearby.

Family of 6 stayed the night, flawless help and service, topped with excellent breakfast and royal scrambled eggs! Well done! Great location, nice grounds, plenty parking. Good local advice particularly on walks, pubs and food, very accommodating.

The house is lovely, on beautiful, flower filled grounds which were all set up for our croquet game. Hamish was the perfect host - and made 12 poached eggs (freshly laid by their friendly chickens) at once. Will definitely come again!

My wife and I visited the B&B from Toronto, Canada. We stayed with Fran and Peter for 4 days. Even though we were running late from London, they were very accommodating in meeting our late check in request. Both of the hosts were welcoming and made us feel at home. Continental breakfast is included in your stay. We spent few afternoons soaking in the sun in their backyard and playing with their dog. When asked about places to visit, they had a list of unique places to visit which would fall outside the path of usual tourists. I would recommend this place to all everyone.

What a delight to spend 3 luxurious nights in this beautiful house with such friendly hosts. Fran and Pete made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The gardens and vista are a delight. A real break away in stunning Cotswold countryside. The room was very comfortable and clean, furnished with antiques and lovely touches making it feel like a home from home. Breakfast was delicious with free range eggs from their own chickens which we could see roaming in the garden.
