Our party of 8 stayed at Pleasant Valley weekend of 4/12/20. The bungalow is spacious, spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable (loved the log fire which was very welcome after our frosty walk around the coast) and had all the amenities we could wish for. Beautiful peaceful area with ample parking, lovely garden and the blissfully added bonus of a hot tub which both the adults and children enjoyed. The bungalow is in a perfect location for exploring West Wales and we visited Tenby and Saundersfoot which are approx 10 mins drive away. Heatherton and Manor House Wildlife Park are only 5 mins away. Debra was very welcoming and equipped us with useful info about the bungalow, surrounding area and where to visit. The bottle of wine and welsh cakes left for us went down a treat. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely return.

Debra's place in St Florence made a lovely base for a family holiday in Pembrokeshire. The house was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Lovely peaceful location with plenty of parking, a beautiful secluded garden and hot tub with fantastic views over the countryside. St Florence is a small village but has a well stocked local shop, there are two pubs within walking distance, the Parsonage Inn was doing great food in the garden (due to COVID) and is to be recommended. Although a trip to the beach does require a car, it's ideally situated, being only a short trip to Tenby or round the coast to the Saundersfoot. Barafundle bay (a short walk from the National Trust carpark at Stackpole Quay) is also a great day trip with fantastic cliff top walks along the coast as well as a great beach. Manor Wildlife Park and Heatherton World of Activities are also close, although pre-booking due to COVID restrictions is necessary. Debra was very welcoming and the bottle of wine and Bara Brith (Welsh Tea Bread) on arrival were much appreciated. Would certainly stay again.

Our party of six stayed for a week at Jordanston's Pleasant Valley bungalow in July 2018, during hot weather. The place is clean, modern, spacious and comfortable. The bungalow is on the outskirts of the pretty little village of St Florence (single-lane roads in and out), and beyond it are only fields and low hills. You can hear birds, bees and the breeze, and nothing else. Consequently we spent quite a bit of time on the large and comfy outdoor seating. (There's also a picnic table.) The peace and the views are seductive during the day, and stargazers will be delighted with the glorious night skies, with virtually no light pollution around. The kitchen is large and fully equipped. It has its own dining table, but there's another in one of the conservatories. (We found the conservatories too hot during our stay, but your mileage may vary.) There's an oven, a range, a microwave, a dishwasher, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, etc. A little WC doubles as a utility room with washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. The lounge is very spacious, with settees you can flop into and never get up. Big telly. There's a DVD player and a stereo, a games compendium and a shelf of books. There's Wi-Fi throughout, and it worked fine outside too. There are four well-appointed bedrooms, with a surfeit of pillows and plenty of sockets to charge your gadgets. Three have twin beds. The fourth has a double and an en-suite bathroom that is fully accessible, with a wet-room shower. There are thresholds into the house and the conservatories, but a robust ramp is provided that makes these negotiable. (However, it might be difficult for wheelchair users to position the ramp themselves, so an able-bodied companion is advisable.) There are two pubs in the village: we only tried the Parsonage Farm Inn (accessible, but not the loo), which had good grub. Good eats also at the tearooms (accessible) attached to the garden centre. There's a good general store right at the bottom of the village. Within a few miles are a wildlife park, an activities centre, a dinosaur park, Manorbier Castle and its great beach, and of course bustling Tenby (with a handy Sainsburys). Nonetheless, if you were stuck at the cottage for a week and could go nowhere else, you'd still have a very nice holiday. Miscellaneous: a cat visits and ignores the furious magpies; I counted seating around the bungalow for 35 people; you can park at least 3 cars; the shower in the main bathroom is the least finicky I've seen; the proprietor popped in to the check on everything and left us wine and Welshcakes.

We would highly recommend a visit to this stunning cottage. We were all pleasantly surprised by the size of the accommodation and how close we were to all amenities. The cottage catered for all requirements and we will definitely be planning our next visit. A massive thank you to Debra for such a warm welcome we didn’t want to return home.

We booked Yr Hen Efail for a family break over the Easter holiday, it looked very nice from the online listings and had great reviews so we didn’t hesitate. However, it does show that you can’t completely base your opinion on what you see and read online because none of our research on this cottage did it justice; Yr Hen Efail is head and shoulders above any property we have stayed in over the years. The owner, Debra, and her family are fantastic and although we only left them this morning our four children are already missing them! This cottage is so much more than a clean and comfortable stay, we felt at home from the first minute to the last. Okay, so we are a family of six and on first sight we thought it may be a little small but once you open the front door it seems to go forever with unique quirks in every room. Everything has been thought of and provided for. St Florence is a charming village with a real village feel of peace and quiet where everyone is friendly and has the time to talk. Over the course of the week however we never had to travel far from the idyllic setting to spend our days. We went to Tenby, Saundersfoot, Folly Farm, Heatherton and a special mention to Barafundle Bay. We will 100% be returning to see Debra to explore some more of the area. In summary, there is simply not a criticism of this cottage and that is down to the hospitality of the owner, the location and even on grey days this place is perfection. See you soon!

This has become our regular place to stay, wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else now. Can rely on best standards and a warm welcome. Being a later stay than usual, really appreciated the cosey and warm evenings staying in with a bottle of wine. Only the two of us but would be great for a family, really safe place for little ones. This bungalow has got everything, and really well equipped. Plenty to do and see, we liked the salt cellar in Temby, lovely bar snacks.

First time we have stayed here and we will definitely look to return. The location is fab with enough on the doorstep. The Sun Inn was great and very friendly. All the wonderful sites we went to were about 20-30 mins away which was great. Thanks to Debra for your tips. Highlights included Folly Farm, Saundersfoot, Pembroke Castle and Bosherston and the Lily ponds were amazing, would be great to see the lillies in bloom. Great house, all we needed and fab location.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Yr Hen Efail. We booked the cottage for a family wedding in nearby Haverfordwest and incorporated a summer holiday too. We found the cottage perfect for family living. It was beautifully presented, very well equipped and absolutely spotless. Being all on one level, the ground floor was ideal for our 9 month old crawler who found it very easy to get around and explore! The village of St Florence is beautiful and very well situated for Tenby, which is a 20 minute bus ride and other local attractions. We ate at both of the local pubs and the food was great and staff very friendly as was everyone in the very well stocked local shop which is a 2 minute walk away. Debra was extremely friendly and the welcome welsh cakes and bottle of wine went down a treat!! We'd definitely stay here again.
