I found the location of this hostel a bit far out compared to where the other hostels were located. It's nice that they pick you up at the airport, but it seems like all of the hotels pick you up at the airport as there is only one air plane per day, so when our plane arrived, many hostels/hotels were... First of all Easter Island was fantastic and you definitely should come! Like every hotel in Hanga Roa they will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Since there's only one flight a day, you don't even need to arrange this with them - they know when you arrive. I found the service a little indifferent, but... More

Airport pick-up and a nice breakfast of bread, ham and cheese, butter/marmelade, and homemade omelettes by the family who runs it. Pretty clean and tidy. Loud dogs and roosters all night, but otherwise good location just off the main road. Very close to Tahai, the cemetery, and the town church. Some of the restaurant promotions at the front desk were... More

Pros: Good location, only a 5 min walk to the town centre. Friendly husband and wife hosts (although they live in a separate house and getting hold of them can be difficult). Airport pick up and drop off. Hosts hire car available for only $40 USD a day. We spent 8 hours driving around the island and the petrol only cost... More

Chose Petero Atamu because of the price but we were pleasantly surprised. The hostel is only a five minute walk from the centre and the price is one of the cheapest on the island. Breakfast was decent. The room was clean and the beds were OK. The hostel dog is also friendly. People complain about the roosters and the chickens... More

Anyone on a budget should stay here. It was cheap, clean, breakfast was good and they pick you up at the airport. It is pretty close to everything and they also rent out cars/bikes if needed. Only negative is there are roosters and boy do they cockadoodle early. Would stay again.

We stayed at Petero Atamu for a week. We chose the accommodation because it was one of the cheapest on the island. Even though it was still expensive compared to a similar standard elsewhere in Chile. The Hostal is about 10mins walk from the town and also the oceanfront, we did not find this to be a problem, in fact... More

I read all the reviews and was a little thrown off by some of the negative ones before booking here. However, I was on a budget and this was by far the most inexpensive choice for accommodations. I am a low maintenance traveler/person and I thought the entire experience was great. A two bed room included a bathroom so it... More

Run by a family. They live in the main house but keep to themselves. Rooms and bathrooms clean. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Airport pickup and drop off by one of the owners.

Very nice airport pick up and drop off service. everything is very good base on the price. For the tour, you can try to ask the owner of the hostel to be the driver and the tour guide just like a private tour, tell him the place you wanna go and he offer you a price of it, that is... More
