This small hotel/apts is perfect located on a small mountain with a beautiful view over the ocean and a small island. The garden is green and there are hammocks and chickens- so nice- love it. The pool is very clean and good for a swim. The chairs/ parasols around are very well kept and there are plenty. The owner Kostas are warm and very helpful person and thanks to Anna the room/apts. Properly clean every day. 👍 The pool bar is open in the afternoon and the prices are very fair. And at arrival there were water, wine and even coffee and filters in the apts. 👍👍👍 I highly recommend this hotel apts.

We've spent 3 nights at Villa Merabello and had a wonderful time. The apartment was really clean and well equiped. The beach and the main road with endless shops was within 5 minutes walk. Next to the Villa there's a super market with nice variety of products and with good opening hours. Within 1 minute walk there's the Merabello Apartments where you could use the pool even if your apartment is in the Villa. Kostas our host was really helpful and welcoming. I would recommend this place for couples and families.

We loved everything about this place, the rooms were spotlessly clean and the housekeeper used to come every day. The apartments are very near the seashore, only a 7-minute walk, but if you want you can chill by the pool, which is clean, warm, and quite big. There is also a grill, so you can make a BBQ if you want. Kostas is an excellent host, he made us very welcome. So if you're thinking of going to Crete this is THE PLACE to stay. You'll love it!

We are regulars at the Merabello and it was great to be back after the enforced two year break. Kostas has organised his COVID regime to suit each customers needs. We walk early every day so Anna came in and did all that was necessary before we returned. Ideal for us. Thanks Anna. The apartments are clean and comfortable with the grounds and pool area kept immaculate. In fact, business as usual. Totally relaxed after day one. Apart from masks in shop/supermarkets and in buses/taxes everything else seemed pretty normal around AM. Kostas provided his usual excellent support, organised our taxis and printed the PLFs for our return. Couldn’t have wished for more. See you in May (restrictions allowing).

Just had a lovely week at Merabello. We had a roomy apartment with a good kitchenette, spacious wardrobe, comfy beds and a wonderful view of the sea and the pool from our balcony. There’s a big garden around the pool with lots of places to relax, including hammocks! There’s loads to do and see in the area, and there are bus stops a few minutes away where you can get buses to many places very cheaply. We had a lovely day in Chania, with lunch on the harbour and an evening at the open air cinema. Another day we hopped on the bus to Kolymbari and visited a beautiful Monastery, and on another we went on a boat trip to theodoro island via Platanias, with snorkelling and Raki! Another day we got the bus to Platanias and walked up to the WW11 war shelter, which is fascinating, then walked down the hill to a Taverna with views of the sunset. Other times we sat round the lovely pool at Merabello or walked to the nearby beach for a swim and a cocktail in one of the many bars. There are also many good Tavernas near here, especially up in old Agia Marina or old Platanias, and some lovely beach bars. Kostas, who runs the place was very helpful and friendly - thank you

Another great holiday at the Merabello. Clean comfortable apartment well maintained by Anna. Lovely grounds and pool tended by the owner Kostas. Nothing too much trouble for either of them. Easy access to the beach, local shops and tavernas and the bus stops if you fancy a trip into Chania. Great to see it busier as numbers return after Covid. See you in May.

My wife and I went for 3 weeks from September 19th and had a great holiday. The apartment was spotless, thank you Anna, and the grounds and pool as clean and tidy as ever, thanks Kostas. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Another nice touch added, large towels for the sun bed or swimming, grey with Merabello stitched in white. No sun bed arguments, enough for every guest. Good to see some of the regulars buy also plenty of new faces. See you in May

Great place highly recommended. Kostas the host is extremely helpful. Great location, 5 minute walk to restaurants and the beach. The pool area is fantastic as well with a small bar at the end with a pool table. the rooms are quite tight, but we only slept there. Very clean and the rooms get cleaned every day. (pictures are quite old on Google, looks nicer now).

It was great to be able to visit in May again, after a three year Covid gap. Kostas and Anna had everything ready for our stay which was perfect. It was also good to see fellow guests arriving and enjoying the sun beds and pool. Virtually all the Tavernas and bars were open, just a few finishing refurbishments. The resort did get busier over the two weeks with some queuing for tables. The weather was very good, a couple of cooler days but temperature increasing from mid-20s to 30/31 by the time we were leaving. A good time of year to visit, before summer peaks.

My wife and I returned for another 3 weeks. Comfortable, spotless apartment, maintained by Anna, with all the essentials and a great view. Great pool, plenty of sun beds with space to spread out. Kostas has set a high standard over the years that he never fails to maintain as can be seen by the number of guests toward the end of season. Thanks for a great holiday see you in May.

I think A/C is about 55 a week and the safe 15 euros. We go May and September so haven't needed the A/C. Whilst in the right ball park, I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

There is no direct email address for the Merabello. You used to be able to contact the local Olympic rep. but I am not sure if that works as they have changed the local set up. I have sent you a private message with the address I used a couple of years ago. If that fails email Olympic Customer services, address on their web site, and ask them to forward your request.
There is no ground floor in the apts but you should be in the Villa across the road.
