The view before sunset is amazing, enjoy a beverage on the outside deck before heading back to the restaurant for a lovely meal. This is the best spot on Eylandt to go. In comparison to other restaurants on the mainland this restaurant is good but on Eylandt it is great.

Stayed here as part of a tour and we had a package for all meals and accommodation. Great location (although a shame about not being able to swim in the sea due to crocs !!) great staff and lovely spacious and well fitted out rooms. The Seagrass Restaurant had a wide range of delicious food and good coffee. If not...

Stayed in a bungalow, which had typical tropical island views (sigh, it's a hard life!) Nick is your man for fishing, he's super friendly and you're 100% likely to catch a fish with him. The restaurant and bar are fantastic, along with the staff especially Dennis the manager. There is a pool, laundry facilities and a day spa also. If...

The solitude was as welcome as the cold beer at the end of the day. The location is truly authentic and the staff pleasant. What could very easily have been a run-down old collection of dongas was dressed and polished and looking like a quite up-market adventure lodge. Well done.

The Lodge is amazing for a small island off the coast of Darwin NT! The staff are all really friendly and the food is fantastic from the happiest chef in the world! Fishing for 5 days off the coast and saw some incredible scenery not to mention 26 different species of fish! The sea life is great! Pity that everything...

We attend this place a lot for meals, drinks and swimming. Have never stayed in the rooms but have viewed several when family were looking to visit. Very pricey. The views are spectacular from the pool or restaurant. However, it generally operates on skeleton staff and so you can wait sometime to receive a drinks order. The menu hasn't changed...

My editor sent me on assignment to check out this remote fishing lodge in Groote Eylandt, out in the Northern Territory's Gulf of Carpentaria. I spent four days there, two fishing and two checking out the indigenous offerings. The fishing is just amazing. While I am not a hard-core fisher, I have thrown a line in at some pretty exotic...

All things considered, this place is an amazing oasis on an island that offers very little otherwise in terms of quality meals and accommodation. Grab an executive room if one is available. Friendly staff and a nice little pool area as well. Shame about the crocodiles really as the beach is otherwise idyllic.

A two-day business trip wasn't long enough to enjoy everything that this location offers, so I'll be back for a holiday as soon as possible. The lodge is set in a stunning location, facing west, so every evening's sunset is an event. It's quiet, calm, and utterly relaxing. The lodge facilities are very good: my beautiful bungalow overlooked the ocean,...

We travelled to Alyangula not knowing what to expect, but the Dugong beach resort far exceeded our expectations. The facilities were amazing, accommodation was superb and the view was amazing. S taff were excellent and very accommodating. We ate in the restaurant which provided first class meals at a reasonable price. We also arrange a cultural tour with one of...
